deank returns with another update to his multiMAN backup manager. With this update, multiMAN now supports NTFS drives natively for data transfer to/from the internal HDD. In other words, you can just "plug and play" without having to edit the 'usb.cfg' file, as you would have to in previous versions. Not only that, BD-Mirror support has been enhanced. deank has also taken the time to update his Install Package Files homebrew app.

Changelog multiMAN 04.14.00 CEX BASE:

Changes related only to 4.20-4.30 CEX/DEX CFWs:

BD-Mirror:

BD-Mirror option now supports USB HDDs mounted as /dev_usb000 to /dev_usb127
BD-Mirror option uses different approach now and doesn't move the PS3_GAME folder of USB games and doesn't modify the mount table
After using BD-Mirror for USB games, the usb drive is still accessible in XMB (Video/Music/Photo/Saves)
Improved disc-less support with BD-Mirror option enabled

USB Ports issues:

When using more than one USB device mM will disconnect/reconnect them from/to the USB bus in the proper order
This fixes games that crash when started from USB when multiple devices are connected

NTFS/PFS usage:

It is now possible to use any NTFS usb drive without configuring its Vendor/Device IDs in USB.CFG
When switching to NTFS/PFS mode use only one USB HDD connected (mM supports up to 2 partitions: FAT32+NTFS, NTFS+NTFS, FAT32+FAT32)
To access the contents of NTFS drives use mmOS and /pvd_usb000 /pvd_usb001 (games from NTFS drives won't show in other display modes)

Other:

Better support for data CD/DVD/BD discs and improved "Enable Direct Disc Access" function
Improved BD-Mirror function for games on internal HDD
Games started from mmOS icons/shortcuts handle BD-Mirror/Ext.Game Data options properly
Online update server updated (5320 PS3 game covers and 3420 PS1/PS2 game covers)
Updated showTIME media player (for mM) to version 04.01.264
Updated 8 translation files

Install Package Files Changelog (standalone application):

Supports split pkg files named in the following format:
- filename.pkg.0 -> filename.pkg.63
- filename.pkg.001 -> filename.pkg.064
- filename.pkg.66600 -> filename.pkg.66663
Upon launch/refresh the following folders are scanned:
- /dev_usb***/
- /dev_usb***/PKG
- /dev_usb***/packages
- /dev_hdd0/PKG
- /dev_hdd0/packagesUpdated stDISC application (better drive reset timing and support for 4.30CFW)
Updated gameDATA, bdRESET and lastGAME applications to support 4.30CFW
Updated showTIME media player (standalone) to version 04.01.264 (CEX/DEX)

i'm not in front of my PS3 right now, but it is really easy. If I remember correctly...

1)Just plug a USB stick in the PS3 to save the dump file.
2)Open multiman/file browser and highlight any file. I think I highlighted one from the GAMEZ folder.
3)hit triangle to display the options and select 'Open in HEX viewer'
4)[SELECT]-[START]->DUMP LV2? (NO)->DUMP LV1(NO)->DUMP FLASH(YES)

im on 3.55 kmeaw and i can.t see ntfs drive ?
what seems to be the problem ? i see all pvd drives (00,01,02,03) but no content?

Be nice if this download was available in torrent form also, be a lot quicker download for everyone and we wouldnt have to rely on filesharing sites that have pop ups

Are you trying to see the drive in XMB or MM?

I've just downloaded this to try rip BR movies and I can't seem to do it.
This program is very difficult to use and appears poorly designed. Like I highlight the disc and select copy, then it chooses to copy FROM my usb hard drive and it ignores that I might want to copy the disc I selected. and the file manager, how do you exit it? there's no exit button, you have to re-launch the app.
I made a failed dump of my BR disc (it said transfering but didn't move past 0% or retrieve any information of the disc) now it keeps coming up as the actual BR disc, and I can't tell which is which.
There's just so many illogical little things in this app. Another is when it shows which USB drive to copy to, number 0000006 or number 0000007? Can't it just say 1 or 2 and tell me what capacity each one is?
Very frustrating, clean up your app.

@LKJHGFDSA, before telling the dev anything, you should FIRST learn to use the app. Then learn what can and can't be done with this app--especially with original BD movies. And then lastly read the "changelog" that is made available each time you download the full version or available in mmOS/FileManager -- you will learn a lot if you apply yourself, before jumping into noob conclusions and complaints.

Thank you for your wonderfull apps, deank.. But I really need help. I'm on rebug 4.21 in full DEX mode (i have dead bluray drive), and with the latest multiman, my bdemu flash drive keeps ejected. I can't play my non-discless games.

It was fixed in 04.14.02 update... I hope it fixes it for you.

Use 04.14.02 update and turn on the PFS driver in mM (via the menu or using START+TRIANGLE).

deank for whatever reason I dont have dev_blind write access as an option. Ive reinstalled multiman twice still no go. Could it be because Im on ermac 4.30 cfw?

Thanks for the update DeanK. Your improvements never cease to amaze me.

Sorry I neglected to add those details. I meant in Multiman or with showtime. I know that the XMB will never see an NTFS drive in the forseeable future; I just meant that despite using the 4.14(.0) update, I wasn't able to access or read the ntfs drive I connected to the ps3. I'll check the latest update to see if that resolved it though.
