PlayStation 3 developer Deank is back with another update to multiMAN. In this update you get a proper working Hermes payload for those running Rogero's CFW 4.30 CEX v2.00. That's going to fix 4GB+ split files stored on external drives. Also included is a handy application, suitable for all custom firmware, called Install Package Files. This tool is great for those who did not like the idea of the removal of install package files on Rogero's latest firmware.

Fixed issue with Hermes payload on 4.30CEX Rogero ver 2.00
- 4+GB split files caching from USB and "Ext. Game Data" game option now work
Added standalone application "* Install Package Files"
- RELOAD.SELF from the application can be used in other homebrew tools to install PKG files via the bubble-method
- Install Package Files app works on all firmwares

stDISC and gameDATA apps will be available later for Rogero 4.30CFW v2.

About Install Package Files.pkg:

This is a small handy tool for installing PKG files via the "bubble"/PSN method. It may be handy for Rogero 4.30CFW ver. 2.00 users. Rogero is preparing a firmware version which will have it 'build-in' in /dev_flash so you won't need multiMAN and you can't break/delete it, since it will appear in [/app_home] when you boot the PS3 and will come preinstalled.

It comes with background running FTP server and /dev_blind mounted (for write access to /dev_flash).

thanks again, I made the upgrade yesterday to rogeros 4.30 v2, but it was very anoying to install pkgs from mmc, so this was a very good addon.

I still don't understand why it was taken out. Does the firmware appear now really like the OFW??? And what is this "cinivia"? Is that a copy protection like SafeDisc or SecuROM, but for blueray movies? I will update now to v2, after it didn't update straight from v1.04 to v2 yesterday...

hello, i am using Rogero manager on 3.55 firmware, few days ago i have tried to copy ratchet and clank tools of destruction on PS3 hdd but after reaching at peak an error has occurred, it asked me to delete the game dump after selecting yes it didn't happened now i am not seeing that game in the list but its still in the hdd because its using the hdd space please suggest me what to do with it, how can i delete that dump from PS3 hdd and can we use rogero manager and multiman or other software simultaneously.

u don't have to wait anymore cuz rogero has made great full cfw so you can play any games up to 4.30 without need any replace eboot and u can use PSN too and also u can go back to 3.55 if u dont like rogero so it up to you buddy

@EzioAuditore Base is the only release so far. (via PS3 update and added to psx-scene for others who don't have their PS3's with internet) Full version includes other files, but base is good enough to update.

@Everyone complaining about the removal of the standard package install that we have become used to. Rogero removed it to make the GameOS look original. Perhaps the goal might be to make CFW 4.xx look like OFW so Sony wont detect CFW. A big reach that does not seem plausible at the moment, but maybe.

I dont know why everyone praises rogero so much i mean sure he came out with the first 4.xx cfw but it did brick many consoles. & his releases still have bugs in them & than he removed pkg installer im sorry but that just makes me even more disgusted with it.
I will stick with rebug 4.21 rex it has been perfect for me in everyway there were maybe 2 games i still had to patch but ever since multiman version right before this one even fixed those 2.

i just dont understand why on other foroums people are suggesting everyone to move from rebug 4.21 to rogero & to that i say why?

anyway thanks dean for your great releases it seems now all my games work even the newest out so thank you.

haha yeah yeah its free i get it but so is rebug & you dont see them having to release multiple cfw to get things right.

@free47 You killing me. With Rogero 4.30 v2 you can install PKG files fine. No problem, except you have to do so within multiMAN. But with Deank's Package Installer app you can via XMB.

Okay, on Rogero 4.30 v2, so when I go to install 4.13 through 4.12, it asks if I want to exit to XMB. No makes it do nothing, and Yes makes it go to the XMB and does nothing. What do I need to do to update?

Don't update unless you have a method of getting into factory service mode (e3 card reader will work) or a hardware flasher. I Almost always brick after a downgrade while trying to go to the latest firmware (after the preparing to update screen, Blue screen) Just proceed at your own risk.

Wow, just tried to download the update.. Time remaining - 212:30. I saw someone else having downloading issues the other day. I know once it took me 15 minutes to download an update, but this is far beyond that.. What could be causing this issue?

if only deank could figure out ps3usercheat so he can use it in his homebrew. i'm certain more players will start it. as long as they don't attempt to use it on psn.
