PS3 Developer Deank has updated multiMAN bringing the application to version 04.11.12. This is a minor update that provides some fixes and improvements to FTP, among other things you can see below for the full changelog.

Changelog

A minor update:

Fixed LV1 peek/poke for 4.21REX in DEX mode + DEX lv2_kernel
Added back IDPS display in "System Information"
Added preliminary support for 4.30CFW with LV1 peek/poke syscalls (sc 8/9) or lv1 mmap patch (hvsc 114)
(if such CFW is released then direct-disc-access/PS1 disc backups should work)
Increased number of supported simultaneous FTP transfers to 8
FTP user/password can be anything
Added support for "Change BD-Movie Region" function for 4.30CFW
Updated Showtime to 04.01.224

I doubt a hub will work. If you have one, plug it in and try it. It won't hurt anything.

If you don't have an answer in the next 8 hours or so, I will try and remember to take the hub off my laptop when I leave work and try it myself.

Hi guys im new here and i have ps3 fat rogero 4.30 v1.4 i was wondering do i download multiman CEX or DEX im confused

you need CEX. DEX is for the people that have coverted their retail unit to a developer/debug unit. It's a very involved process. You'd know it if you did it

thanks i didnt mod the ps3 myself a local shop did it for me i was also wondering because im not sure the ps3 is rogero how can i check that becouse when i go under system information it says 4.30 and i can play backups so i know its modded for sure im just not sure with what firmeware ? would you please let me know if you know thanx !

If it isn't broken I'd say don't try to mess around with it since you're new. Peronally I use Rebug 4.21 spoofed to 4.31 through Rebug Toolbox and have no issues

You could always ask the shop owner for the md5 checksum of the system update he did and compare it to what's listed on the article about each one here

what about using the Custom Firmware Validator? listed here would that tell me which firmware ?

I'm not sure when the last time it was updated. Plus you would need the PS3UPDAT.PUP to check it - That's why I said to ask the mod shop owner for the MD5 since he probably didn't give you the update file

just noticed theres a new multiman that has some good new features heres the changelog

multiMAN ver 04.11.13 BASE CEX (20121118)

* Added check for EBOOT.BIN firmware version (offset 0x428) and prompt to 'fix' the version to your current one.
> This will fix 80010009 errors for 04.20-04.31 games without updates if EBOOT.BIN is encrypted with 4.20/0x1C key revision or lower.
> Tested NFS:MW on 4.21REX without installing the 01.01 update for the game.
> It will probably fix errors on Rogero's 4.30CFW if 4.35 games are released encrypted with 4.30 keys.

my only question with the fix for eboots is, nevermind. you can click cancel. i just hope it doesn't pop up for every game under 4.21, but then again, idk how signing exactly works and if it knows if it is original or not.

PS1 backup worked since 04.11.11, btw the quality on PS3 isn't great compared to original PS1 (I have both to compare).

I created an alternate psn account and have been logging in. I have 3 consoles 2 CFW phats and an OFW slim so I figure if this console gets banned a will just use it offline. I am not sure if they could really permaban a console anyways as with Rebug it loks like you could potenially change the console id or other things to spoof you system anf getit back online. I have asked this before but who has ever gotten banned? And if you did was it your psn account or your actual console? No one has ever said it has happened to them despite $ony's threats.

I rarely play online and when i do i use my OFW, mostly i use PSN store to buy content....$ony would be ddumb to ban people who are buying software and media from them CFW or not!

I, my friend, can confirm that I have been permanently banned recently on both my console and my account, it happened a few hours before any of the warming articles surfaced. the changing ps3 id thing doesn't work(I think it didafter last years ban hammer, but not anymore,I also DID have purchased content and I was still banned but since I also have a non banned ofw ps3, I guess i'm ok, but I do truly urge you not to go online until they stop banning people, or you can end up like those unfortunate people like me
