  • multiMAN 04.05.00 DEX Released

    For all you PS3-Sceners who are running DEX units or who have converted your CEX-to-DEX. We are happy to announce that Deank has been hard at work. making sure DEX users get the same joy as CEX users when it comes to Showtime and RetroArch compatibility with multiMAN. This release also add support for PSVita Remote Play in 852x480 resolution. See full changelog below.

    What's included:

    ================================================== ================================================== =======
    * multiMAN ver 04.05.00 DEX (20120827).pkg

    - Stereo Player (DEX)
    - Web Browser + FTP (DEX)
    - Showtime for multiMAN (DEX)

    ! There is no need to install/uninstall previous versions of multiMAN - this is a DEX BASE package

    * Added support for PSVita Remote Play: PS Vita: MPEG-4 (852x480) (Reset TV Overscan in Settings to "None")
    * Stereo Player can play SBS/TB movies in DivX/XviD movies in .avi3d format on DEX
    * Standalone browser + FTP work on DEX and returns properly to mM
    * mM restart function works
    * Showtime for multiMAN works on DEX (can't return to multiMAN yet)
    * Showtime Standalone (in TV/Video) column works from XMB on DEX
    * RetroArch cores/emulators work fine
    * Separate online update for DEX multiMAN version is now supported
    * Default game backup folder on DEX 03.60-04.20 is changed to:
    -----> /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/GAMES

    ! For better folder access permissions: Use 3.55CFW to create folders under /dev_hdd0

    ================================================== ================================================== =======

    Showtime ver 03.99.041 (Standalone).pkg

    - This is the official CEX/CFW version
    - You have to install it on DEX PS3 BEFORE starting multiMAN for the first time

    ================================================== ================================================== =======

    What to do:

    1) Install [Showtime ver 03.99.041 (Standalone).pkg]

    2) Install [multiMAN ver 04.05.00 DEX (20120827).pkg]

    IMPORTANT:
    3) Start multiMAN from XMB so it can update your Showtime to DEX compatible version

    4) You can now use mM's Showtime or the standalone Showtime from XMB (TV/Video) on DEX FW

      Thanks Deank, a big fan of your work. Does this run on DEX 4.20? and will this eventually support loading games?

      Thanks

      I was too early to say everything works.. =(
      I keep getting 80010017 or 80029519 errors depending if I use DEX formatted HDD or CFW formatted HDD when launching Showtime.. Multiman works fine (DEX 4.20)

      This restriction is built in 4.XX FW - If you want to access to home folder you need to do this on 3.55 FW

      I also don't know why. Probably fw prevent access to it (like MKDIR in "dev_hdd0/game/"). I have changed chmods but nothing happened.

      As Szczuru said, you can back to DEX CFW 3.55 to i.e copy saves, trophies etc. Quite annoying but for now it's the only way to do it.

      Anyone knows where the network-configuration-file is located?
      I want to write a WLAN Profile creator/switcher.
      Im carrying my ps3 to a lot of friends & everytime i need to do the whole network-wlan-conf-process.
      If there is a "XML-like" configuration file, maybe we can save those to another location & write a script (or a Multiman-plug-in, or convince Deank to implement this 2 his next update )
      to swtich between multiple WLAN Configuration-Profiles

      Cheers
