I was able to fix my issue with Showtime (the problem that I reported earlier in this thread, about it taking an aweful long time to boot Showtime within multiMAN -- over 30 seconds or more).

I deleted the following folders and files and then downloaded (within multiMAN) SHOWTIME.SELF (latest version: 3.99.24.g93fd5.dirty). And now Showtime boots up in multiMAN within 2 seconds! A lot faster than yours STLcardsWS! Or perhaps my stopwatch is slower?

      Deleted:
st_cache = inside sys folder in multiMAN
st_settings = inside sys folder in multiMAN
SHOWTIME.SELF - inside sys folder in multiMAN

The only thing I can think of that could have been causing this issue is that perhaps one of the many plugins in Showtime was having an issue? This is still speculation as to what was causing this issue?

Cool for peoples needing to work on their PS3 or using it as a multimedia player.
In my case I have something more adapted to watch movies on my TV.

I remember a lot of memory problems with 1080p movies, I don't think this is going to help (the GUI is going to make it worse). So basically this is some kind of replacement for Linux right ?

I never understood the interest of such a thing, I have a computer much more capable of doing computer tasks than the PS3.

The files were named differently than from 4.02 as well for bdreset and lastgame. It's a very good possibility it was a bad pack and some old versions got put in
Try holding down "L2+R2+L3+R3" when Multiman is starting to reset to default settings, see if brings back the 'lock' setting.
Last Game is called 'lastGAME2.pkg' in the Full rar. Aldo's tools are old versions though.

@Nightbird - thanks but I've already deleted my old multiMAN and installed the full version for this one. I had made some modifications that probably caused the problems with the new version.

I do have a problem though. Is anybody else's FTP through a router broken? I'm using the standard full version (unmodded) and when I'm transferring files it will transfer 2 or 3, stop, then reconnect, ask to overwrite failed transfers and continue for another 2 or 3. The cycle repeats. Any ideas?

I can say one thing. THANK GAWD for Comgenie's Awesome Filemanager!

      1. I'm getting nothing but hang up's when trying to view directories with more then a few files in the directory. Hard shut down is the only way to get out of it.
      One directory is - ps3_home/video

      2. Still can't copy data disc files, or even create ISO's mmMM, mmMC, mmOS never worked properly. Again, THANK GAWD for Comgenie's Awesome Filemanager! Can't even see a data disc most of the times in multiMan.

      3. What happen to the Expand Contents of XMMB media columns for viewing files or not to view. This is still broke. Hasn't been fixed since before version 4.00. It's alittle annoying looking at 1000+ photo's, video's out of order when they are placed in there own directories and sub directories. Expanding is messing that all up.

I wanted to check out the DVD ISO thing but, I think I'll just pass on that.

Hope Deank fixes these issues being brought up by the masses.

mmOS is cool, Like someone said. It'll take getting use too.

@ Jay-Jay: I've always used Blackbox 1.2 with a cross over Cat5. Never seen the sense in not.
Quake: Get blazing fast speeds to transfer your Backups to the PS3 in minutes, Not days!

      Confirmed:
      Transfer queue completed
      Transferred 190 Files (11.38 GB) in 6 minutes 3 seconds (37.54 MB/s)

      [R] 226 Transfer Complete
      [R] List Complete: 722 bytes in 0.21 seconds (3.4 KB/s)
      Transfer queue completed
      Transferred 118 Files (35.06 GB) in 18 minutes 47 seconds (36.22 MB/s)

I've been able to successfully transfer large and many files over through FTP on a router--PC is connected thru Ethernet cable, and PS3 on wireless. Keep in mind that I only updated with the base version. I just installed over the old version.

Can you guys uninstall multiman 4.0.3 and go back to 4.0.2 to see if the problem still exist with FTP?

Nope, Not working. Still hangs on scan. But now, It'll lock the system for a few secs/minute/s
EDIT: Still the same thing. Locks the system up. Hard reset is the only way out of it.

Working! Yes!!!... Finally it's working right now. For how long? LMAO, Who knows LOL

Let me know when you manage to copy something from a data disc with comgenie's filemanager... Being unable to read multiMAN's changelog is your fault, because since version 2.09.07 you can copy any file from any disc. The "Expand contents" function has been always working - it is for USB drives, not for internal-hdd content.

I think I narrowed the problem down to my external hard drive. It works fine on internal. My dog has been a klutz lately and knocked my external drive off the shelf at least twice last week. The drive still works, but I should probably check it for errors

I tried that. Never worked quite right. It would work and then it wouldn't. As for Data transfer with a data disc. I'm not gonna say the AVI's but yes they were transferred with compgenie's awesome filemanager from disc to ps3 internal HDD. Maybe selecting Adavanced is the key. I later deleted them when I transferred the actual [NAME_HERE]DVD.iso from laptop FTP to cross over FTP PS3. OK, so I just told'ya.

EDIT: Via: compgenie's Awesome Filemanager; After this DVD gets copying with mmOS create ISO i'll redo it. I'll report back to you again.

Waite: I just remembered I have 2 Fatties now. hehe! checking..... Nope! Not working. Copied 0 bytes. Must of been off my 32gb flash stick. Not gonna make any excuses. I might have been wrong on that part. But, I'll keep compgenie's awesome filemanager anyways. It's usefull when mmCM screws up and you need to wipe it completely clean off the PS3.

Just a heads-up, Quake - YOU CAN NOT copy anything (larger than 500 bytes) from a data disc with anything else but multiMAN.

I just read this part of post and I missed that. Well, Then I don't know what's up. When you put it in, I had my video's on an external and photo's on a flash stick. It worked fine. Then I bought a bigger 2.5 Drive and slapped that into the PS3 and transferred all the video's to the internal. OK So I can see where that would be miss leading. But, I didn't transfer my photo's from the flash stick and they still get expanded. I never brought it up before cause I don't use the XMMB part much.

Now that the mmOS is being put in and all. I don't think I'll be seeing the XMMB much less.

Like I said, Good work on the rest!
