Here at PSX-SCENE it gives us great pleasure to announce the latest updates to multiMAN/mmCM, by developer deank and Cobra Team

One of the most noticeable changes in version 04.02.00 is the TMB (Top Media Bar) display mode which replaces the old Box-Art display mode.

ATTN Theme Artists:
Please note that the new background image for this new display is TMBBG.JPG. Plus the background image for the old discontinued display of Box-Art will no longer be supported. As well as the following images:

**Plus you will be able to adjust the color for the Top Menu and Side Bars in the COLOR.INI file, so your theme will have it's own color coordination that fits best for your theme creation!

Updated Themes:
Please note that a few themes (mostly Jay-Jay's themes) have been updated to support the new display mode--you can download them via online within mmCM/multiMAN.

You can find more details below, images displaying the new display mode, along with the current download.

04.02.00 -

Added new display mode ("TMB" - Top Media Bar) to replace "Box-art" mode
Added new option in Settings - "Top Media Bar Color" to set user-defined color for top and bottom stripes in TMB mode
Added new background image in the original theme (TMBBG.JPG) for TMB display mode
Improved speed when copying files
Optimized memory usage (another 10MB of RAM available for operations)
Added support for scanning /dev_usb010 to /dev_usb099 for PSX/PS2/PS3/PSP/BD/DVD ISO files
Added four (4) new colors to SIDE/TMB color setting options and two options in COLOR.INI to set side/tmb colors from themes
Added function to "Quit to XMB" if [CIRCLE] (or [CROSS] if X/O swap is set in options) button is held pressed
Added visual slider indication when scrolling trough a lot of entries (XMMB, TMB and XBDM modes + when browsing devices)
Reminder for BD-Remote colored keys: RED - Quit, GREEN - Screen Saver, YELLOW - Restart, BLUE - To File Manager and back

Not sure how many people used to use the old display that this new one has replaced but I think this is most definately an improvement.

The box art view wasnt a favourite of mine (not that it was 'bad', just didnt like it as much as the others) but like the new view.

Will be updating this soon methinks and maybe taking a look into trying to get a theme put together - keep meaning too but just havent got round to it yet, lol.

Yes. The only difference is that people with Cobra dongles have access to backup PS2, PSP, and PS1 games.

are there any advatages to this new multiman? like does it have more compatibility with games? i dont think so...

Wait. Is this sarcasm? Because I don't think I've said anything that deserves sarcasm. If it's not then support for games on Multiman stopped after games started requiring a higher firmware than 3.55.

I couldnt do this as i have kmeaw cfw and compgenie will not install. Anyone else have any ideas?

if you have OpenPS3FTP installed or BlackBox FTP then you can use FTP to delete the folder

OR

delete multiman from the XMB (hit triangle - select delete)

Gotta ask why you can't install Comgenie on kmeaw - I had it when I had kmeaw

on the comgenie website it only offers download of 3.55 Geohot or 3.41. The 3.41 install but wont run and the geohot wont install it comes up with a error

@abbadon7 - just looked around not sure about this one but these are usually 3.55 compatible - SKS Apps - Exploit Systems - Wii Ps3 Ps2 Apps - Homebrew Game Downloads

@deank - love the new display mode. I had it locked at the XMMB clone, but I might have to switch to this one. looks great

i got it going, i updated to the new Rogero CFW V3 and it worked straight away

Like I said in the other post. You had a problem with your CFW. Reloading Kmeaw probably would have fix it than installing Rogero. But, that's your choice. Good luck.

Edit: After looking back. It wasn't you that said you had the problem with the compgenie installing. Same problem, same solution. Again, Good luck

Sorry for the question but can I load my ps1 games via lan with this multiman?
If yes, do I have to share the content of a ps1 iso unpacked into a folder and shared with ps3srv?

I have the LV2 Patcher and when I run it then MMCM, it will not work.

What are you talking about? lol!

If you have an old theme version, simply update them. Go to the multiMAN sub-forum of this site, and look in the sticky topics for the updates to several themes from different theme artists. You can always use the original theme from multiMAN in the meantime. You can also download them via online through multiMAN. There really is no need to go back to a very old version just for a theme. lol. Get a grip and inform yourself. lol

This is why I usually ignore BS questions.. I don't like to reply, because I know I will sound like a lecturer. (sorry).

After I chose a game from Multiman and get kicked back out to the XMB, the multiman logo(option) goes away and I have to reinstall it. What is causing this?
