Ok. Here is one that is a little late, but since news is a little slow I'm sure I will be forgiven. Following our previous report regarding McLowSlimMod comes version 0.4 for PlayStation 3 owners running Rogero custom firmware 4.30. This includes those running versions 2.03 to 2.05 of Rogero's custom firmware. This update includes a bug fix regarding IPF (Install package files) and a app home relocation. The rest is outlined below. Happy modding psx-scene valued members!

About McLowSlimMod Version 0.4:

Changelog v0.4:

works Rogero 4.30 v2.05 (4.30 v2.03, 4.30 v2.04)
install packages and deleting are fully working now! (there was a bug)
app\home is under tools now!
added pic2 to app (to show categories in xmb)
added sound to app
changed start installation categories to PHOTO

Anyone run into a problem during installation? I tried to install it and now I can't get my PS3 to do anything.

Glad I'm not the only one. I've tried posting in the help forums, but haven't gotten any responses yet. I was able to swap hard drives and reinstall Rogero 4.30 v2.05, but now I need to figure out how to get all of my data off of the problem hard drive.

i dont think that will do anything because rogero fw is based in the NAND, no hdd, and the mclow mod is written to the flash. idk for sure tho im not verry experienced in bricking my ps3 lol...

I'm not sure if this will help anyone else, but I figured out my problem. I booted into safe mode and chose to restore the filesystem, then I let it sit for 24 hours. When I came back it was still at the preparing screen, but when I restarted the PS3, it restored the filesystem and then rebuilt the database and I am back up and running again.

i have looked into the files and found some mistakes. the structure seems to be not correct all time, but i said it to this person...

Im on the preparing its only been like 20mins should i restart it?

put the PS3 in Recovery Mode and reinstall the CFW

No when this happens with this you can't change anything in the safe mode but I finally found a way to fix it I just took the hdd out and slid it back in and it gave me the chance to reinstall the system software.

at wut points durring the boot up did u do this?
