LuaPlayer PS3 Beta 2.0 Released - Now Signed for 3.55

jonlimle, author of the PS3 LuaPlayer, has informed us, that his project has been updated with a new release. For those of you that don't know, LuaPlayer allows you to write homebrew in a simple language for the PS3, that doesn't need to be compiled. The new release features a GUI system, TTF fonts, and new texture support. This version brings support for TGA, GIF, and PCX textures. Currently there is no support for PNG and JPG, but it will work in the next release.

No, this is not PKG'ed in retail npdrm PKG, it will not install on 3.55 CFW

Once the appropriate tools are released by GeoHot, repackaging homebrew to install on 3.55 will be extremely simple.

I don't understand why you expect things to be working on 3.55 right now. Geohot hasn't even released any of his tools or anything that allows for things to run on 3.55

That is going to be ages then, Geohot just wants attention and will draw it out as long as possible to boost his ego.

If anyone knows any contact details for Dark Alex, it would be awesome if someone could try and coax him back onto the scene, he would put people like Geohot in there place.

Very soon everything will come out, please be patient. would you prefer to brick your system? Let them test everything and do it at their own pace. They owe us nothing. weren't paying themfor a service so you should not be complaining one bit. If you think you can do it better, by all means i encourage you.

i know i can do better...all i know how to do is challenge lobbies but that doesnt do much..im only wait for ftp on 3.55 or wtv..i hope they can make it and what ever else there working on..but good luck to you guys and great work!!

I fear that about time we get stuff for cfw sony's patch will come in and we'll be out of psn again i'm all for free games and homebrew but i love playing with my mates online

Man you guys are killing me, daily some jackass is talking trash about someones hard work who has add anything to the PS3 scene but bitching. If I were a dev like jonlimle, fail0verfl0w, Geohot, and Dark Alex and I released something that you people were claiming as useless I would not put anything else out, for all you know these guys have the cfw people are asking about, but have no need to put it out....but forget that people are waiting for something most of us already have, A way to do what we want, 3.41 is still solid, it runs Back Up Mangers like always, use all the tools that have been out for months already. There are methods to downgrade to it all you don't have is the PSN, and if you want that then make a choice A. keep the Jailbreak or B. PSN or C. Shut the **** up and stop asking for things that are not out yet. when it is ready it wil be posted. and somebody posted on this site that ALL project releases are postive

Anyone can and will have the right to say whatever they want and nobody needs a permission from a shit for brains like you. For People who have 3.55 can you show them a way of downgrading it to 3.41 and jailbreaking it? Even if you could, why would you buy a stupid dongle and make some advantage takers more money? While you can do it dongleless as that bastard claims? If thats possible and lets see what he has to offer, he may be your God but he can only be a fart.
