After clicking on this news items source link I found myself at some forum called PS3Repack where I found multiple threads that contained active links to warez I'm not telling you guys how to do your jobs or anything but it seems ya'll are setting a pretty bad example and I'd hate to see this site get in trouble since you guys are a hell of a lot more on point and not totally batpoop insane conspiracy nuts like those found on sites like ps3hax

As a side note I find it extremely retarded and frustrating that I can't properly quote your OP without the forum crapping its pants about my lack of posts :|

I remember there being some drama over there back in July or something, it used to be pretty helpful over there when I first started JB my ps3, but now its just a bunch of people relinking others releases and hard work, begging for rep, and others begging for the stuff they want and being disrespectful. Now I get all my help and info here, and I think we have a great group of mods.

In all fairness, I do see your point. I think it was done, because of gratitude of what this dev had done for the scene by patching games to be able to work on lower CFW. It was difficult to refuse giving him some promotion to his endeavor. We may end up just doing this once (or every now and then when it's newsy), since like I said before, it's a delicate situation as you clearly pointed out.

You just need 5 more posts to get over that 10 post quota to be able to post "links" in your posts or quotes--since the OP has a few in them. That's all. No need for insults. Well, I didn't link to any page containing pirated material. I linked to an introduction page where people can go and thank him/them for the fixes that they've put out.

propJOE and his cohorts (I don't want to mention them by name without permission) have done a lot of work fixing games to work on lower firmwares. If you guys actually read the article I said to go buy the game if you enjoy it. At no point am I encouraging piracy.

Just because a fix is available doesn't mean you can't buy the game and use the fix. You don't have to download warez.

I am (or should I say was) already a member of PS3hax but I rarely visit there anymore since they are so rude and the news posts are full of misinformation and ad hominem personal attacks against members and developers alike. The inappropriate language posted (whatever it was) by me in my previous post is fully directed at the forum software itself and not any member of the site be they end user or mod/admin staff.

It is kinda weird that the rule includes quoting links verbatim from authorized users as well. I don't think it is nice for me to edit others posts like I had to because things could possibly be taken out of context. Lastly I have been around a bit longer than my current join date but management changes here or a forum upgrade caused me to have to re-register.

I realize that but it doesn't take much to get to the pirated material. I'm a member of multiple forums that have strictly enforced Zero Tolerance policies for pirated material where even posting links such as yours would get you permabanned. Anyhoo just to reiterate I'm not attacking/insulting any forum user here. I realize what you guys are trying to do and I am grateful for that. So lets all be cool

That is bizarre. It used to be a 30/30 limit. I am sure that it's now 10 days/10 posts--it was changed recently. If this occurs again with your account, please report it here, so the admins can take a look-see on this issue: http://psx-scene.com/forums/site-issues-suggestions/

Thanks for being a member for this long. I am also one of the oldie-but-goodie members here. My old account was corrupted so I had to sign in again--or a past "rogue" moderator didn't like how I "candidly" disagreed with him, and he closed my account--I'll never know. Trust me I was very respectful, and he must have been having a "bad" day. I think everyone is entitled for having a bad day.

donation is not a requirement to get a password. I don't know where that rumor started. propJOE has never been in it to make money on fixing games. He has always given freely.

There was an issue with people claiming his work as their own and posting it on another site which is why the password was there in the first place and also why it was changed.
