  • Kmeaw's LV2 Patcher v8 Released - Syscall36 & Waninkoko CFWv2 Support

    Kmeaw's Lv2 Patcher has been updated to include the support of Syscall 36 and Waninkoko V2 CFW. According to Kmeaw, v8 version is still the same, no code has been changed, only .txt and .bin files.

    If your having trouble with black screens and freezes, make sure to run Lv2 v8 then run fix permissions found below:

    Yes, the screen does turn black, but do not worry. Just watch the HDD indicator light to make sure it didn't freeze, then it will bring you back to the XMB.

    Run the Lv2 v6 application every time before running Fix Permissions.

    It seems that a lot of folks are having issues installing and running backups on there Ps3's due to the bug in PL3 that effects file permissions. Here is what I have been doing to get around the black screen hangs and disc read errors.

    1. Fire up multiMAN, blackb0x, whatever ftp you use & transfer your backup
    2. Run your Lv2 v6
    3. Run the Fix Permissions application that is installed from running the package

    The app will go through the HD and correct the file permission errors that come with using PL3. I have been using this method after each game backup I install,
    however if you install (ftp/copy) 5 at a time the app only needs to be run once and it will fix all 5 games as it does its magic to the entire drive.
    Now as far as USB, hamster driven HD’s etc I can not say as I do not have any of the above so I have not tested it myself.

      i got COD world of war to work finally with this ... waninkoko v2 3.55 on phat CECHA01.. mulitman .. still can't get my COD black ops to work tho...

      but the thing is when i run the lv2 patch .. it gives an error...

      I ran the fix permission and its fine.

      how do i had taking an advantage of this when i have been using multiman with syscall36 that made lv2 patch unnesesery ????

      first what frimware you are on ??
      what manager are you using ??
      and did you ran lv2 patcher then fix permissions and restarted the ps3 ??

      Use Kmeaw's CFW and the newest Multiman. Black Ops works flawlessly for me on it.

      Did you try it with a disk in the drive?? I had a black screen too with BO then I put a disk in and it works. I'm running Kmeaw 3.55 Multiman 1.15.01 CECH-2501A, it does show a black screen for about 15 seconds when it is loading. Just FYI.

      firmware: 3.55
      multiman 1.50.01

      I ran the patcher lv2 and fix the permissions, entered the game and gave black screen, rebooted but the screen went black in the game again

      I use the newest multiman, multiman 1.15.01.

      YES, now i can play, thanks for help.

      If anyone can help me play online, i apreciate.

      I can connect to PSN and go to Internet but a when a entered a game, PSN stop and give this error code: 80028ED5

      i think those pkgs are signed for GH CFW...Waninkoko supports pkgs signed for 3.41
      Because of this, i can not install PSN games to Waninkoko CFW also..Anybody has answer ?
