Kakaroto was captured by sony and they paid him a large amount of cash to say "Its safe to update to 4.00" but he has to make it believable by saying those on 3.55 stay on 3.55 BUT some have so much faith in kak that they update anyway feeling to proud or giddy then 9 months later theres still no Jailbreak thus sony found a glitch in the matrix of the masses

Kakaroto said it won't play backups and he's not implementing it either, so stop asking and crying about CFW 4.0 u babies(buy TrueBlue if you want 3.6+ now), Kakaroto won't be the one to release it. Though his work will probably lead to CFW for another dev to figure out.
JUST HOMEBREW. 3.56 CFW now has backups through IRIS Manager and it was said no backups on it's release, So who knows it may but not by the Dev who released it (Keeps dev safe from sony)

As previously stated it will NOT play backups. The only way it can be achieved is if another dev makes a cfw or the games are compiled into pkg files or anything that doesn't require peek and poke.

9 months have passed since sony brought down the hammer. i would love to hear news of the ps3 but it looks bleak. every week theres something saying this or that will imminently lead to a cfw but what happens guys...... much respect to kakaroto tho, brilliant dude and i wish him the best of luck and no "ill be releasing it after my 2 week vacation" lmfao, how many timnes have we heard other devs say that....
