KaKaRoTo Reverses Jig Master Key - Added to PSFreedom

Kakaroto, author of PL3 payloads and PSFreedom, has successfully reversed the Jig master key, from the recently released PS3Yes Downgrade Hex. He has added the key to his PSFreedom project, for all to use.

They obfuscated the key, xor-ed it with 0x36 and swapped bytes 11 and 16.

0xAAAA dongle key: 04 4E 61 1B A6 A6 E3 9A 98 CF 35 81 2C 80 68 C7 FC 5F 7A E8

JIG MODE! -- I reversed the key from PS3Yes hex.
Load PSFreedom with 'jig=1' parameter and it will put the PS3 in service mode!

Update: Reports are coming out that this is not the master key. Instead it is, a single Jig device key.

So does this mean I could use the psfreedom that's on my droid and just use that paramater, and BAM, I'm Jailbroken?

i hope that also but with iphone or ipod, cause im 3.50 never jailbroken

Not jailbreak it ill put ur ps3 into factory mode
Which will enable you to downgrade to 3.41 or earlier and the you can use your own dongle to jailbreak it =]

read tutorial how to downgrade using modified pup and self files

it will tel you exacttly how to downgrade to 3.41 and then go back to the normal mode and re jaibreak it

Well i want to get out of service mode so I can backup my gameasaves and stuff.

You must store LV2Diag.self (file number2 of the package) on the root of USB stick.
Then insert the USB stick on the rightmost USB port and press power on.
The set will power on around 10 second and then it turn off.
Now you're out of Service mode already.

why aren't the explantions in the original posts ever this straight forward

Seeing as I don't have a USB in hand (let someone use it and they haven't returned it yet) can I somehow use my iphone or external hdd? I just used my iPhone to put it into service mode, so could I just add the file to root or something?

You mean to save the self file to remove your ps3 from service mode?
If thats what you mean hard drive should be fine as long as u connect to fron usb formated to fat32 and only self(part 2) save in the root of the hard drive

U need certain usb
Most common one used is
At90usb162 google is your friend
Or if you got android or iphone 3g or any other ipod devices such as touch tou will be able to do through there aswel

I keep trying with my external, but its the type that wont turn on unless both the power cable is plugged in and the usb is plugged in.I'm guessing that's what's stopping it from working.

I just checked and ipod touch 2g is not compatible with the jailbreak and the downgrade
Only ipod touch 1g iphone 3g and iphone 2g
But i will check for you so if you could have a look in couple of minutes i will let you know about touch 2g

No that wont work
U need usb powered
And the usb needs to have free space of 130mb minimum
