JFW DH’s OpenPStore progress update and PSX backups from hard drive (video included)

For all those waiting for the latest word on the upcoming
JFW DH that will be released later this year, a video has been released showcasing
PSX backup support from the hard drive. Also recently discussed by
DemonHades was the progress of the
OpenPStore, and details about it.
DemonHades has posted some interesting info about the new
OpenPStore found on
JFW DH (custom firmware). For example, all dynamic plugins and patches, as well as service packs will be downloadable via OpenPStore–all for free. In addition, DemonHades posted a video demonstrating
PSX backups running on JFW DH v3.41. These backups will run fine using multiMAN but the prefered method is to use the built-in PSX emulator to run PSX games from the hard drive or USB drive.
Additional info about OpenPStore (roughly translated):
Applications are prepared to place at the right place at the console, and with a style JFW HS (Icon semi 3D).
The dynamic plugins or patches are downloaded from the OpenPStore
Service packs also will download from the OpenPStore
The OpenPStore not contain games PS/PS2/PS3 only emulators for older consoles
OpenPStore does not mean market … everything is free
No login will be required, everything goes through the JFW DH
A menu language selection is started at boot time to translate the information from the menus … For cons, the content will be in Catalan … Those who want another language, will bring
Downloads of homebrew via the websites are no longer needed
