just checked the current download from that site.

ps3version - "3.55-Dongle" - displayed in your system settings menu

From the license.xml - "This update will install PS3 system software version 3.55, modified to support homebrew software and the disc dongle" displayed when you installed update

I'm opening up all of the files in the extracted update file and I'm not seeing anything to make me think it's 3.65. Maybe bitsbubba can take a look at it. he knows a lot more about firmware than I do

What I think happened is you had a game disc inserted in your drive that had a 3.65 update file on it and when you updated the firmware it read from the disc before reading from your usb drive

i can´t understand how i installed the 3.65 .... i dont want to say anything wrong, i have some knowledge in this but i ain´t an expert

ok guys first of all i would like to thank Bitbubba and bahamutlord for the help.
I installed the cfw dongle and everything is ok now, probably what happened is that it updated via br disk.... no problems with this dongle so sorry for the missinformation about the dongle

@EmanuelVeiga - don't sweat it. glad you got it worked out. Just remember to remove your discs when you do a firmware update. It'll save you a lot of hassle in the future

@EmanuelVega - they're using the first version of True Blue firmware. Safe bet that anything patched within the last few months won't work. There's talk about them being able to use the new firmware soon like JB-King did. Don't know if it's just talk

mine finally arrived today...

I loaded it up and it works!

tested:

Skyrim - Works (TB Updates do not work)
Twisted Metal - Error (2.5)
Fear 3 - Works
Dirt 3 - Works
Portal 2 - Loads up to a Yellow Exclamation Point (Unable to play)
Dead Rising - Works
Saints Row 3 - Works
Dues Ex - Works

TB 2.5 Games DO NOT WORK

the casing is quite cheap... you get what you pay for, when its booted up, it says for system info 3.55 TrueBlue 2.3

for 20$ it was worth it, and hey if more games come great.

it paid for itself, 80$ for a TB is too much money!

Ive had a couple times where ill boot up my system and the devices RED LED will start flashing and I will get no video, I then have to unplug my PS3

the normal boot is it will be solid red, then once there is video the dongle goes green, I dont know if issues happen with the other dongles due to te nature of how it works, or if this is something just from the JB2USB... or if it is hurting my system in anyway, all seems good im a happy customer.
