JB2USB – A New Clone Of True Blue?!?! Maybe Not???

There has been a warning spreading about this product, that it is not compatible with any of the True Blue v2.5 games.

And the clone wars begin, a while ago a team had released a dongle that would allow users of CFW to play certain PS3 games that required firmware higher than 3.55, calling themselves TrueBlue. The dongle had some competition when JB-King was released and now a new clone has hit the market retailing at $19.99, calling it JB2USB. What is your opinion or take on this device is it yet another clone, or is it the same device with a new look. Have the clone wars started yet again ? You can visit the homepage at www.jb2usb.com

So looks to me that they have found the crack up to v2.5 and are in the process of releasing it soon. Only time will tell at this point? will see how things unfold.

once clones start releasing their own shite instead of relying on TB then maybe they'll be worth it!! "Now only a few 3.73 version games can not be played" doesn't sound to me like they have fully cracked anything! I think they would say anything to get your money & what happened to JB-King?

...yeah Bits ...I agree with you. Will see what happens? did you by any chance see the JB2USB 3.55 PUP UPDATE they put up on there site?

My point is that you might be making an instant saving, but in the long run, not really worth it. Unless these clones are able to accept TB updates.

Yeah...

Personally i've gone this long without buying one, there's no chance i'd run off to buy the next $20 clone that can run a few more games.

If you don't mind me asking.... why is that you wont buy the dongle? Like your personal reason is because of the 60 bucks or is it something else

What am I missing??

The JB2USB-2.5 bin file is on their main site's download tab and the games list includes some titles that are TB2.5 too

the key is some games, as they haven't completely crack TB v2.5

The price. There are only 2 games i'd like to play that have TB patches, so it's not really worth it for me right now. Either a price drop, or a few certain games being released would make me buy it.

Eh I was the same way I only bought it for WWE12 and a couple of others. "Just incase" There are future games that they release that I wanna play "Like they did ME3" I can play them.

60 bucks isnt bad btw its the same cost as a ps3 game.

You're right, it's not a bad price. Unfortunately, i've been unable to find a job for a while now though, so i can't really afford it.

That's a serious matter.........anyone else who has tested the JB2USB??
does JB2USB uses its own cfw or it can run with cfw of TB or rebug's TB edition????????

i think that it´s a big issue because i used the custom fw and the console updated to 3.65..... now i cant do anything

It might have been just a spoofer. Check to see if you can load backups in multiMAN. If you can't, then go into recovery menu (turn system off then hold the power button down til it turns on then turns back off, wait a sec then hold power button down til you get into recovery menu) Try to install KMEAW or Rebug 3.55. If you can't, then you've got a problem. Please report back what's going on with your JB2USB and your firmware. If it's truly been updated to 3.65 then we need to get it on the front page

you didn't do an update from the disc did you? what game did you have in the drive?

ok, i will explain, i started by installing the 3.55 cfw for the dongle, after that i updated the dongle and shutdown the ps3, and when i start up the console the red light on the dongle is always on, plus the multiman and any previous games i had don´t work, after all that i tried to start the console without the dongle and it says 3.65....
