Well the fact is that nobody else know how to do it but them. There are still many devs out there like the one from china that made Sonic generations work. This is way more than a DRM dongle nobody knows how they really do it. If it was so simple JB king would be releasing their own eboots instead of waiting to leech off of TB

Well the fact is that nobody else know how to do it but them.

We don't know how they do it, therefore we don't know if their achievements come from an in depth knowledge of ps3 (very likely), or from stolen info from SONY or from something else.

That had occurred to my mind the other day since JB king can rip off TB why can't they make their own eboots there must be more to it than what it seems. Hence brings me to this conclusion

JB king knows how TB operate right? But think about this let's just say it gets open sourced nobody STILL wouldn't know how to patch the eboots but them hence why I said that they must have a deeper understanding of the ps3 but I doubt they stole anything from Sony these guys are really smart.

Jailbreak King and it's update is a failure because TB hasn't released anything and the dongle is already useless. TB sill have all the power since they have a deeper understanding about the ps3. So this will not effect them. If JB king cant make their own eboots they are wasting time on a dongle.

Remember when the scene used to be open sourced and look what happened to it? I came to realize it is not TB that bring the drama to the scene because they are doing everything right. It is the end users that bring the flames.

Open source is bad look what happened to VHBL I made the right choice when I went to OFW nothing is going to change anytime soon. Endusers will still complain about something. TB served me well I have nothing bad to say about them. I hope they still be around if not thanks for making me play my games instead of waiting like some people are doing. Its was a 60 dollars well spent.

You don't have to profit from something for it's method to be kept secret. It doesn't have to be open source for it to be free.

Also, didn't you sell your PS3 and say you don't care about the scene and the drama so won't post anymore?

They aren't facts. In fact, no one even knows, for certain, if JB King are an actual, separate identity from TB.

Why do you guys care so much if they get paid for it? If you don't like it then okay then but it is their product if a dev was really smart/motivated maybe we would of seen a solution without TB monopolizing the scene but there is not.

They are a business not a scene the scene isn't doing anything about it so why complain?

I complain because I believe this draconian, greedy, not even caring about it's customers company is ruining the scene.

Fair enough on not being able to sell your PS3 though (Assuming you didn't want to in the end and not that no one would buy it.)

The difference is that TB probably have an actual job. Think about it, do you honestly believe they spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week so 40 hours a week working on TB? That is how long I work, so why should I work for free with that many hours? Don't be so silly.

Did you know that in my spare time I fix people's computers and buid them forfree for people who can't afford it, as long as they pay for the components so they save money? Even to complete strangers, on a daily basis. Find it hard to believe? Not everyone in the world is greedy. There are actually people who like to help others without expecting cash afterwards... But you're young and ignorant so I don't expect you to understand.

Call me ignorant but do you know on my spare time on eBay I sell strategy guides that I got for free on there and I have made some decent money off of it. Call it money on the side but that's how TB makes their money on the side. But what am I trying to say is they can choose to charge or not. Just like I charge for books I got for free.

They don't have to spend time on making new games work. Sharing the method with groups like Duplex would still be keeping the method away from Sony and Duplex would do it, for free.

The fact that you sell guides that you get for free shows how greedy you are so I am simply not going to argue with you any more. All your points are void in my view since you're just as bad as TB.... Very greedy and not deserving of respect.

A lot of people would, even trusted groups like Duplex who we know wouldn't release the methods so the whole defence of "They need to profit from it to keep it safe from Sony" or "They need to make money for us to keep getting the new games" is just bullshit.

Its not like the firmware hasn't blocked TB, it has since 3.56, the patches they make are the reason it works, as they bypass (or circumvent in other way) the need for a firmware version higher than 3.55.

Im not positively sure, but my guess is that these patches could be made for cfw (without any need for dongle) as well, they are just developed/designed only to run on a ps3 with their dongle attached.
