Estwald has been busy pumping out alot of updates this past week to Iris Manager. He is back again providing yet more support for Iris, updating the backup manager to v1.55. This time around he has added support for 4.31 CFW and added new patches to improve the PS1 Emulator. Check below at the rough google translation for the details in the v1.55 update.

What's new:

- Support large files (+4GB) cached on internal HDD for games launched from USB

- Obsolete: ability to replace EBOOT.BIN with lower fw requirment for games launched from BD drive

- Support PS2 data for games like Singstar (the path included “ps2disc.txt” is mounted as “/dev_ps2disc”)

- Support PSX games from CD and ISO image format (sector size of 2048, 2352, 2336 or 2448 bytes)

- Support play of extracted PKG stored on external HDD (extract the PKG to “dev_usbxxx/game”)

- PKG Installation from Iris (Tools -> .PKG Install)

- Support easy copy of program’s data from /dev_usb/iris to /dev_hdd0/game/IMANAGER4

- FTP Support

We got some good managers going on right now. It'd be interesting to have these guys sit down for a weekend and just code and see who can release the best new features and make their manager the best. The loser has to... idk, wear the coder's clothes that he wore for a week :P

Well considering Estwald is the only manager that has come up with his own "NEW" real feature im sure he would be the one. If he would just add some type of coverflow ui i think a lot of people would start jumping the MM ship.

i mean could you think of a new feature besides psp/ps2 iso support without cobra? i mean, i guess that's why you added quotes.

anyways, i actually just thought of one that either one could add: move support. put it in there so we can use the move with our emulators so we can play shooters with it since light guns don't work on hdtv's anymore. i guess someone has actually figured it out but no one has really implemented it yet.

I always suggest it to twinaphex but he says he needs the move but i swear i've heard that a dev like cracked it and you could just "code it in". I mean, i'm no dev but by the sounds of it, you don't really need it, you can just implement it. i mean, they said it takes like less than 5% of the ps3 to use it or something.

Squarepusher is going to add move support to RetroArch,. It's in the plans.

GregoryRasputin of Hax donated a move to Sqaurepusher, a few months back. Sqaures plans where to add it in this version. but the android port took some time away so i would expect it when 0.9.9 is released

awesome. i think it was kakaroto or something that figured it out a while back.

i sure hope it's implemented and it has at least 4 points or it does 1:1 motion.

idk, i think i've dreamt about it.

i'd love to play yoshi's safari with the move since i never got a chance with a light gun. that game always looked interesting to me but i never liked it with a mouse...it just has no umph.

not for SGK (which is spoofed) it's for the beta 4.31 that is already out

don't cause drama man...there's a hax site for that.
multiman has added plenty of new stuff like easily browsing the ps3, ftp, boot up discs from direct disc access, back up discs, download updates from within the program, etc.

oh and sabinswe, we need more info than that. you install this like most pkg's, through install package or whatever.

A wii and sd card are pretty cheap, and you can always borrow/rent smash bros to get the softmod started.
its a pretty good way to do light gun games on hdtv, i have a third party hand gun thing by nyko that does the trick well/
just sayin, it can be done for barely any cash,

on topic:
looks liek a good manager, im just happy i wont be changing firmwares a crap ton just to use my cobra for ps1 support anymore
