PSX-SCENE Forum Discussion for Sony PlayStation/PsOne/PS2/PS3/PSP/PS VITA
  • Important Terms of Service Changes and Contest Changes

We are working very hard to listen to the valuable feedback of our members and we have heard a lot of suggestions and frankly complaints regarding our TOS and new developer CONTEST.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for using a boiler plate cut and paste TOS. Lesson learned! We want to let you know we have made significant changes to our Terms of Service to clearly protect developers ownership and intellectual property rights over their own work. We trust these changes will set their minds at ease and hopefully convince a few devs that were on the fence to give our new CONTEST a shot!

Below please find a recap of all the changes made to our TOS and after that news and changes to our dev CONTEST.

As far as our developer contest is concerned we have received a lot of interest from devs across the world but one suggestion was persistent. Can we make the contest more about quality over quantity? The answer is yes we can. We have changed the rules of the contest so that while a dev may submit as many projects as they like as frequently as they like - the winner will ultimately be determined by the TOTAL number of LIKES received by the community for all of the projects submitted by the dev for the contest month. We hope this will address the quality over quantity concern and we look forward to seeing those releases on PSX! Here is the down and dirty about the CONTEST.

Sorry for the interruption. We hope this clears up a lot of confusion and we appreciate all of the constructive feedback we have received. Thanks and see you in the forums.
