PSX-SCENE Forum Discussion for Sony PlayStation/PsOne/PS2/PS3/PSP/PS VITA
  • Updated: Heads Up - PS3 Tools Collection 2.0.66 Released

Update: PS3 Games Database v1.0.2 released. Check here for details. Developer Aldostools has informed us of an update to his tools collection. Version 2.0.66 brings a fix to PKG ContentID, adding a key used in SCETool data folder. Other changes include a bug fix for PS3 Game Integrity, updated Bruteforce Save Data (optional display of columns) and a new tool called PS3 Games Database.

    Changelog v2.0.66:
    • I have fixed the "Convert RAP to RIF" feature in the context menu. It was not working properly, due a missing key in the ./scetool/data folder
    • Also fixed the PS3 Game Integrity 1.3.1... there was a bug introduced in 1.3 that caused improper content.md5 per folder
    • Also included the Bruteforce Save Data 2.4.4 and the latest PS3 Cheats Editor 2.6.2 (just minor changes)
    • Updated PARAM.SFO Editor 2.8
    • Last night I created a new tool: PS3 Games Database.... it is an initial release and I believe could evolve in the future.

Now we need a simple tool for entering the data for the Game Database or a scanner as I have a few hundred rap files and packages and URLs from my purchased content that I'd like to organize.

@ccfman204 the version 1.0.2 of the Games Database now imports from clipboard (limited format)/games on USB/games on PS3 (via FTP). Also added the option to launch the editor from the application.

@aldostools , can you check if this is a bug?

I am trying to edit a PARAM.SFX file, and I try to rename the title of the file, but when I save it, it reverts back to the previous name title, like it doesn't want to save the changes. I've done this procedure a dozen times when I create my own PS3_EXTRA directory, but I think in this latest version, something is not working right?

      I am using the Updated PARAM.SFO Editor 2.8 in PS3Tools Collection 2.0.66.

      @Jay-Jay
I couldn't reproduce the "bug" that you're reporting.
please send me a PM with an example of the SFX that you're trying to modify
and a list of the exact steps that you're doing.

Maybe that SFX has a special condition that is causing the issues.

@aldostools , I've sent you the PM as you requested.

After I sent you the PM, I've reverted back to version ps3tools 2.0.65, and with that one, the PARAM.SFO editor works fine on my PC.
