Hacker Group Posts Sony Developer Network (SCEDEV) Web Source Code
A hacker group known as LulzSec
, aka The Lulz Boat, has made it clear that their latest objective has been waging war against Sony. The group has been making constant attacks on Sony for the past week. One of their more recent, notable hacks on the electronics giant stemmed from the Sony Pictures Entertainment website, where they exposed one million passwords.
Today, the group has revealed that they have penetrated yet another Sony website. The latest attack has exposed the web source code for Sony's developer portal, which is known as the Sony Computer Entertainment Developer Network (SCEDEV). The portal grants official Sony developing partners access to the latest Software Development Kits for the PlayStation 3 as well as other tools.
The group has only released the web page source code and they have not revealed if they have gained access to Sony's proprietary PS3 software tools. However, the release of the source code could lead to other hackers exploiting the web pages further.
