  • Hacker Group Posts Sony Developer Network (SCEDEV) Web Source Code

    A hacker group known as LulzSec, aka The Lulz Boat, has made it clear that their latest objective has been waging war against Sony. The group has been making constant attacks on Sony for the past week. One of their more recent, notable hacks on the electronics giant stemmed from the Sony Pictures Entertainment website, where they exposed one million passwords.

    Today, the group has revealed that they have penetrated yet another Sony website. The latest attack has exposed the web source code for Sony's developer portal, which is known as the Sony Computer Entertainment Developer Network (SCEDEV). The portal grants official Sony developing partners access to the latest Software Development Kits for the PlayStation 3 as well as other tools.

    The group has only released the web page source code and they have not revealed if they have gained access to Sony's proprietary PS3 software tools. However, the release of the source code could lead to other hackers exploiting the web pages further.

      hmmm might be possible to create a custom psn with this, that would be very useful for cfw ps3's also with the code it might be possible to connect directly to the multiplayer function of certain games

      Why? Im really ticked off about the community these site has turned into. It used to be intelligent discussion about CFW and homebrew.       Toatally agree with you. I have been turned off by all the cry babies. Lets face it no one is going to release 3.60 keys. How about all of the whiny little kids find a NEW exploit. Im pretty sure ant dev who could plausibly do this has left the scene because of all the ungreatful users. Understand this, nobody owes you anything, Sony did nothing wrong, and unless you can find the keys yourself stfu

      So sony being hacked and losing hundreds and thousands of Credit card info, and then saying nothing to no one for MANY days.... thats not wrong? Nor the fact that they lied and actually produced false documents in court about why they had removed other OS.

      Poor Sony. They can't catch a break. I hope all of this stops soon. They screwed up, but they don't deserve this. It's kind of childish to keep attacking them.

      You're right there "was" intelligent discussions on this site but considering Sony decided to be *******s and sue everyone of a function we wanted back those discussions were discontinued if we didn't fight Sony, hence why they deserve these comments right now.

      Ohh and I just bought a new gaming laptop that also came with a free xbox 360, thank you Microsoft for that free xbox 360 promotion, such a win promo ! Due to this I might sell my ps3 mgs4 bundle very soon with all the free games on it to make the money back and just use them for those sick new e3 titles. As usual, Sony had crap to show but hey that's a personal opinion... PS WTF IS "PSVita" ?!?! like you really had to name it a spanish womens name...

      acually the "days" you talk of were quicker than what the law requires. You act like sony is some outlaw company trying to steal from regular joes LMAO grow up kid

      and no they probably wont get the 3.60 Keys so get over it. Once there is 3.60 keys, 3.70 will be out then..Guess no more pirating stuff for the PS3

      Your sarcasm is nothing more then ignorance. Sony responded quicker then most companies would have. The average company would not have responded for WEEKS if not MONTHS if EVER.

      Some day you'll grow up and learn a little more about life in general. After you get some experience under your belt you'll realize that countless companies sweep this type of intrusion under their carpet and never say anything.

      You should be thanking Sony for responding as quickly as they did. The FACT that you expected them to do more is nothing but your own ignorance.....or stupidity, take your pick.

      You'll be lucky, this is massively outdated source code from 2008 and older.

      This will pretty much be yawnorama for Sony, doubt they will even bat an eyelid xD
