  • GUI v1.0.7 CFW Patcher: Apply Bsdiff Patches Easily

A new program has arrived, that makes simple work of applying CFW patches, onto official firmware files. When downloading custom firmware files, many of you have probably noticed files that end in the .bsdpatch or .patch file extension. This program, GUI v1.0.7 CFW Patcher, allows you to easily apply those patches to official firmware, turning it into the custom firmware which you chose.
    Attachment 689
Note: Example for applying the patch to your Kmeaw OFW must patchfile.rar recover from its archive and extract the patchfile. Rename this file PS3UPDAT.PUP.bsdiff and specify the folder containing it to step 4!

    Download: CFWPatcher_v107_Installer-Skinned.exe (133.41 KB)

GUI Patcher v1.0.7 CFW is a simple software that runs on Windows, allowing you to patch the Official Playstation 3 Firmware (OFW) to create the custom firmware (CFW). The application is simple, since you fill in the various fields requested (OFW, link the patch, output name CFW). The patch will be named PS3UPDAT.PUP.bsdiff.
    Code:
1 - Select the folder bspatch

2 - Select the folder content of 3.55 OFW

3 - Select the folder where you want to create the CFW

4 - Select the folder containing the patch to apply

5 - Click on "Execute", the CFW will be generated at the selected location

This is a nice little tools for the noobs. It does the job very simply. There shouldn't be hundreds of questions with this one, but then again there's always questions. Read the instructions carefully and you'll have no problems.

My PS3 40GB won't even turn on at all. Green, Yellow then Flashing (YLOD). Caused from bad downgrade file. NOT from kmeaw's CFW. Please help me unbrick this so I can be on my way.

how does running bspatch in DOS confuse people? It's so simple, all you have to do is copy and paste the commands, even. This is nice to have but slightly irrelevant, even for people that don't know how to use a C: prompt.

Hey all, for that very small minority who cannot do this *facepalm*
Here is a guide for you... in CMD (Don't worry, you only need to double click the file and it will run you through the steps, and I hope its simple enough...)
This does not have to be in any specific folder, just run it from anywhere.

I did this to help anyone who needed help and I also wanted to test my skills at Batch commands/MS-DOS commands.

      How does this work?
      What does it do?
      How do I use it?

Will it allow me to play the xbox games stored on my computer through a lan connection on my PS3 by way of the PSP without soldering a wire between the wii and my computer monitor?

      Huh? Will it?

      Sorry ch13696,
      Someone had to do it!

From somewhat of a noob in the PS3 area..........yeah, this one's pretty "noob proof".
      I like it.
      Clean and simple.

I love this question and I think that what all post should start with for NBzzz first start with what the app or the software or what ever with what it does with some details. Then how do we use it.
