  • Gitbrew Confirms that they are Working on a Possible 3.56+ Exploit

    An interesting piece of news popped up recently, that demonstrated work is still being done to bring jailbreaking to more recent firmwares. This news arrives to us via Twitter, that at least one developer over at Gitbrew is hard at work on a 3.56+ exploit. If this were to come to fruition, it would be wonderful news to the millions of users who have updated their consoles, but regret not having jailbreak functionality.


    However, before everyone gets their hopes up, the developer did not state how far along he was or if he had broken any new ground on the subject. It should be noted, that the developers at gitbrew definitely have the talent to pull off an exploit. Most recently, their skills were demonstrated with the release of their QA mode related projects (QA flag pkg and QA downgrading). It will be interesting to see if this project gains any traction.


    Well, this is interesting it appears are friends at Gitbrew are working on a possible 3.56+ exploit. From the QA Flag PKG, to the downgrade method by these fellas, it would be very interesting to see if they can pull it off.

      thank god that someone is working on a new cfw Ive been waiting for what seems to be a very long time now.

      Thank GOD I didn't upgrade my 3.56 firmware :o .. I think it might be easier to figure out the 3.56 keys, only my two cents here :P .. never-the-less; great news..!!

      Notice is says 3.56+. Which means if the exploit comes about it will probably be for all firmwares above 3.55

      If I were you I'd just update to 3.65 as you don't have any jailbreak features nor the newer features of recent firmware.

      AWESOME, I knew there was a reason why no one updated for days here.... A few days dead, and thn BAM! N64, Exploits, new CFW. hahah. The scene is on a roll streak here!.

      Oh man, I hope this comes out soon! I have 3.61 and would really like to jailbreak to play emulators and stuff (Yes, I know about PC emulators but it's really nice to play them on a bigger screen with my home theater)... And yeah, I want to back up my own games to a hard drive and play them from there too.

      same here, the games loaded faster from the hard drive and the emulators were great too

      Except nothing has happened, except information on what the devs are working on. More than likely nothing will ever come from this. It is of course possible, but do not get your hopes up.

      Cool however i think a 3.60 plus firmware is what is required about now or at least the 3.60+ keys as they hold us back all the time at least until a update with 3.55 keys comes out anyways goodluck

      gitbrew " CFW we will not release for 3.56+ unless the PS3MFW team finds a way to do that again . an exploit for other deelopers to work"

      I think that too..I'm not a big fan of "online gaming" or "demo downloading".. So staying with 3.56OFW will not hurt, since we don't know which firmware will be customized first..
