Okay, somebody help me remember what this game is...

My church used to have a table-top style arcade machine. The screen faced the ceiling, and the controls were on either side. You played a caveman who had to climb to the top of the level to catch a teradactyl-like creature to continue. I want to say the game was named after that creature. It had a very ice-climbers like feel to it. Does anybody remember that game? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Anyway, going to finally be giving this homebrew a shot. After getting some mainstays (Mortal Kombat, MvC, Simpsons, etc.) I'm going to try and relive some of my older arcade days. (Hence the above request.) How is this with shooters like Area 51 and Carnevil?

I promise you it is NOT Joe and Mac! Its older then that. I remember the cave man being blonde. Colors were very simple.

Okay, now I think it might have been an explorer, not a caveman! Either way, he still tried to climb up to catch a terradactyl-like creature. First level was grassy. This is going to drive me crazy!

FBANext is great, but I'd love to see a full arcade emu that does everything, not just select systems like FBANext. We need to get Killer Instinct 1/2 going. And hopefully stuff like NBA Jam/Hangtime, NFL Blitz, etc.

It dawned on me a little while ago that this thing HAS TO HAVE some kind of options file once the package is installed!

After a little searching, I found that a fbanext-ps3.xml file is located in /dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/.

I'm going to open that sucker up this afternoon and see if I can point it towards the usb stick.

Without FTP capabilities right now, it is going to be a biatch moving over a thousand roms from the stick into the roms folder........one rom at a time.

BTDT, don't really care to do it again.


Even If I can't point it to the stick itself, I can add a path for a folder inside the roms folder and just transfer the entire folder on the stick to that spot.

I don't understand that. I did a straight forward install and they work perfectly for me.

Well,

I forgot about trying to point to the usb stick before moving the "Roms" folder (on the usb stick) into the "roms" folder on the internal.
I was in a hurry and just forgot about it.
I was able to edit the xml file and point it to both folders:
/dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/roms/ and /dev_hdd0/game/FBAN00000/USRDIR/roms/Roms/


Worked perfectly.

The files is quite disorganized in Notepad, but with a little effort I was able to work it out.

I may try and rebuild the file so it will be easier to understand and work with.
If that happens, I will post up a link in here in a couple days.

great build but i hope they fix the 6th level graphics issue with tmnt turtles in time :-( and has anybody heard anything about the dolphin emulator that was being worked on?
