    The latest version of FBANext has been compiled today, featuring support for 3.55 firmware. The latest version, FBANext PS3 Custom Build v2 (Wonderpatch) FIXED r417, features a more stable framerate (due to audio tweaking) and resolution switching via the Settings menu. For those unfamiliar with FBANext, it is a multi-system arcade emulator for the PS3.

    Today the MC68000/Z80 arcade emulator for PlayStation 3 has been updated to FBANext PS3 Custom Build v2 (Wonderpatch) FIXED r417 and now supports Firmware 1.92 and 3.41 for PS3 JailBreak users and GeoHot Custom Firmware 3.55 as well.

    Below are the changes, to quote from the list: FBANext PS3 - Custom build v2 - FIXED - r417

    CHANGES (as of r417):

    * Resolution switching in Settings menu - select resolution with left and right on D-pad and press X to switch to the resolution.
    * Much better framerate due to audio tweaking - now stays within the 59.900 ballpark and beyond instead of hovering somewhere between 59.200 and 59.900.
    FB Alpha (formerly Final Burn Alpha), based on the original Final Burn source code, is a multi-arcade emulator. These are the currently emulated systems:

    - Capcom CPS-1
    - Capcom CPS-2
    - Capcom CPS-3
    - Cave
    - Neo Geo
    - Sega System 16 (and similar), System 18, X-Board, Y-Board
    - Toaplan
    - Taito
    - Psikyo 68EC020 based hardware
    - misc stuff the authors like


    FBANext is a native port on the Xbox 360/PS3 Platforms

      You can edit the XML file in the FBAN directory to point it towards where your ROMs are stored. I wouldn't advise against storing them in the FBAN directory, though, because of what hapened to me below.

      I installed this earlier today and it got corrupted after I tried to load another ROM after playing one beforehand. I was forced to delete the application and revert to the previous public build and in-turn it deleted my ROMs which were stored in the FBAN directory.

      well if you go a couple of pages back there is a updated FBANext emulator i think its r90 or some thing that allows button mapping so if some on would just sign that one an get it to run that would be awesome although i failed at it suckssss............:joystick1:

      can some one give me advise to, loading up metal slug... im on 3.55 wutangz cfw and it loads up roms but has problems with all metal slug series. it gives me an error "cannot load rom, please check ROM SET." any one have an idea?

      hi im on 3.41 and ive got v1.04.1 on but i cant get it to find any roms im trying my street fighter II turbo its .cp2 which is CPS-2 and it says no roms how do i do it.

      use black box ftp, dev_hdd0/ROMS/FBA/[your roms here] you can also Change the "FBA" FIle for "snes" and after that use common sense.

      You need the neogeo.bios file and put it in the roms folder for FBAnext.

      good looking out, ill try it :o

      REEFER it still says no roms
      really,well thats how i have it on mine... make sure you have them in a .zip file when you extract them into ps3.

      What pkg files are we supposed to install? There is several of them. "Im running Kmeaws CFW" So install Geohot? and what is the patch for? Trying to keep up with everything right now is a royal pain as updates, cfw's and pkg's are coming out left and right.

      I just got a ps3 for the first time here like less then a week or 2 ago so im new on the scene, I bought my ps3 just because all the hacks coming out for it, 320gb Move Bundle CECH-2501B,

      The link to all games/roms for ps3 FBAnexr that I provided includes the neo geo bios

      Is it just me, or can't I remap the buttons for my games ? Playing street fighter with their default button scheme is a shame. What file do I need to edit ?

      has anyone got cps2 and cps3 games working on this i cant, i got neogeo working but not cps2 or cps3 do i need the bios files and if so has anyone got them please.

      hold R1 and R2, then hit L2, you'll be able to remap the buttons.
