f***Psn v0.8 - Support for 3.41 and RubyDNS 0.4.0 Added

Last time we reported on f***Psn, it had been confirmed working with all the major 3.55 CFWs, including (but not limited to) Cobra, True Blue, and Rebug. Well, drizzt has released f***Psn v0.8, which now includes support for CFWs less than 3.55, meaning users still on 3.41 can now access PSN. This update also includes added support for RubyDNS 0.4.0, a DNS library put together by @oriontransfer.

Prerequisites

CA27.cer, dev_blind.pkg, ****Psn-v0.8.exe from here
OpenPS3FTP v1.3 or later, you can download 1.5 from here

ChangeLog

v0.8: Re-add support for firmwares older than 3.55 v0.7: Add support for 4.11 spoofing
v0.6: Use an empty consoleid. Warning: be sure to get my 0.6 version
v0.5: Add support for firmwares older than 3.55
v0.4: Don't use PS3DNS anymore

Installation

Install dev_blind.pkg and OpenPS3FTP on your PS3 (using FTP, external USB or what else)
Launch dev_blind and make it mount the flash
Open OpenPS3FTP
Connect via FTP to PS3 (using username root and password openbox)
Go to /dev_blind/data/cert
Rename CA27.cer to CA27.cer.bak
Put my CA27.cer as /dev_blind/data/cert/CA27.cer
Set the PS3's PRIMARY and SECONDARY DNS server to your PC's IP address
Reboot your PS3
Start ****Psn-v0.7.exe
Enjoy with PSN

Warnings

If you have followed the OLD guide you need to rename the original CA27.cer to CA27.cer.bak and (my) CA24.cer to CA27.cerand you have to restore the old CA24.cer, by renaming CA24.cer.bak to CA24.cer
This is needed since some games use the original CA24.cer
If you lost original cert, you can take it here

FAQs

Q: ****PSN does not start or prints "Address already in use" as error
A: Close anything that is using port 80 or 443, try also to close skype and to disable ICS if you are using it.

Prerequsites: You need to have sudo configured to install and use the auto installer (ubuntu has it by default)
Open a terminal and launch the following command:

Install required gems with gem install rubydns rainbow

Why the hold out? Why not just upgrade like the rest of us. Everything is geared towards 3.55. Is there a reason you haven't upgraded yet?

I've been on the scene since the very first payloads were available. when you could jailbreak a ps3 with a ipod 1g or a ti-84 calculator and Teensy USB Development Board. I had ubuntu 10.04 installed on my ps3 before they removed other os. you dont have the credentials to question my decisions BL. Go play some FF...

Good Day BahumatLord! one quick question im using TBCFW V2 3.55 and TB Dongle 2.7, using f***Psn v0.7b and 4.11 spoofing from my tb, works great, the question is can i purchase a PSN game for example Journey and play it without the fear of updating my CFW to the latest OFW... Thanks

almost all of the newer games on psn will require a higher firmware. dont waste your time or money. wait for a team like duplex to maybe fix some of the psn games FOR FREE like before. unlike some of these greedy teams charging people to play newer games at the expense of there dongles.

I agree, I checked most of my games and all of them need higher firmware to access PSN (when You try to connect to PSN it shows that there is an update of game with You need to download and after that, game is not working showing note that it need higher firmware) i was hopeing i will get some news for buzz new quiz or maybe online play

Wow you are one arrogant little bastard. He has more credentials than you will ever have. Fact is, you are bone-idle lazy that is why you won't update. Or are you too stupid to know how to resign your precious eboots to 3.55 for your pirated games?

It was an honest question and I wasn't being rude. My credentials are self evident and it really doesn't matter how long you've been in this scene. I've been in every scene since the Commodore 64. My user name may have changed over the years, but the proof is in the pudding as they say

Ok, for people with the port 443 already open error, you need to kill the process of vmware (in my case) and is all good.

try using multiMAN's write to flash option instead. If you're trying to view it via ftp hit refresh.

It's easiest to find in the Top Media Bar or XMB clone view. Go all the way to the left, move one to the right, then all the way down. You'll see it

ok, got it all working but now I get "error port 443 already in use" and the program crashes. how am I supposed to fix this?

ok, closed skyped, now it works, but then closes and windows firewall wants me to let ruby...something be unblocked or keep blocking, i unblock but when i go to start psn.exe again the same thing happens...why?

edit: disabled firewall, still crashes.

Read the article and the troubleshooting posts

It's going to ask you to unblock it everytime you run it. RubyDns gets installed to a different temporary location every time and Windows Firewall doesn't know how to handle this. AVG handles it just fine. Try using a different firewall program

i even allow connection in advance firewall connections for ruby, nothing. still crashes.

did what you quoted, crash.
