i bourght from lightake once... never will i again. i didnt even get what i orderd and they said they couldnt refund me.

now this is kinda cool, I would pick this up so I use the original PS3 HD as an external but this is from lightake.com I ordered the downgrade usb stick back on 12/2/2010 and I have email them twice and and still have nothing to show for it

I am not a part of lightake.com, but I can say that hong kong post was a bit funny last month and things did get delayed in customs. However, it was isolated incidents.

I'm still trying to get a refund from Lightake for the E3 Card Reader I bought from them that never showed up. They like to stall you until it's too late to file a claim against them through PayPal. I'll never order anything from Lightake again.

I ordered twice from them, first time my PS3yes which was delivered in 2 weeks as promised, now the second time (controller skins, and an iphone case which was pretty nice quality) I ordered in november and got them in january 10~ which is quite shit.
I ordered just yesterday for the third time, though it took time they did deliver atleast.
The case looks nice though I don't see a point, I don't use an external for more than copying to my ps3, and if I were to use one with the ps3 all the time, it would be a 3.5" external not a 2.5".

I ordered from lightake and got my E3 Reader just before christmas it came within 3 weeks as advertised as it was being shipped from HK. They gave me tracking so I could track it along the way. Customs was why it took so long.

Just thought I'd share my experience with Lightake.

Who makes these? Because I would love to buy this for the original 60gig that came with my ps3, but I'd like to buy, from say Amazon, or ebay, not this website because it's from HK

Yep - I got a tracking number, too. The latest entry (mid-December) shows that the package is being prepared for shipment and that it still hadn't gotten to the US. I ordered in the first few days of December.

I'm not saying that no one will ever get what they order from LighTake, but because they were unwilling to issue a refund after a reasonable amount of time, I'll never order from them again. To put things in perspective, I purchased a second E3 card reader from Price Angels (also in HK) for a friend a few days later and it arrived within a week.

Oh sweet. No smashed USB. The last time I bought an external HDD it used smashed USB. Thank god it came with the cord, but if something happened to it then I owuldn't have a replacement.

thats cools I would buy one if it were on ebay even if it came from HK as long as their feedback were good. I dont really like buying things on the web from hong kong I have got scrwed before and since its so cheap You dont really care to worry about why you never got it but I am sure they make alot if many people spend 6-12$ and never ship you a product if you have a few hundred people even do that its a good chunk of change and when you order direct through the site and not paypal you have no way to complain or get money back ur credit card company doesnt care
