ErmaC 4.30 CFW v1.3 Available & Updated

For those who have taken the leap to custom firmware above 3.55 might want to take a look at this. Dubbed the next Kmeaw of 4.30 CFW, or 4.21 with 4.30 spoofs, this custom firmware might be the next gen of firmware with the most game compatibility. Well that is what most comments via the sources below suggest. Even with the previous statements this firmware is not without bugs. Such bugs include the elusive XMB grouping bug. I bring this info to you without actually testing it myself. So those avid psx-scene members that are willing to give us some feedback would be appreciated. Mod on! Game on! and advance!

About ErmaC 4.30 CFW v1.3:

More Stable than any other 4.30 CFW out there (Tested with numerous PS3, slim and phat models)
Can run games with the latest updates signed with Keys up to 4.30 without any patching needed
PSN enabled
Cinavia protection disabled
No "Demo Mode", XMB fully optimized so you can have the best performance with your console

Changes since 1.2:

"Demo Mode" is now completely fixed, no more demo/kiosk fw messages*
Some more small bugs fixed, XMB is now fully optimized (XMB is faster than ever before, in-game or not) so you can now have the best performance with your PS3
A few cosmetic changes

*If you still want to use PSHome please install 'PSHome_ErmaC_4.30_CFW.pkg' included in the package

This CFW will not brick your PS3 System or Harddrive if you install it properly. Use it with caution, the author of this CFW will not be held responsible for any damage that may be caused to your system.

You need to be on 3.55 ofw or cfw to install ErmaC CFW. Please downgrade using the proper procedures (999 downgrader from Rebug team is the best option) and after downgrading please install and run 'toggle_qa.pkg' on your PS3 before upgrading again to the new version.

Use exactly the same precautions on upgrading/downgrading used on other CFWs to avoid any complication. Enjoy!

Does anyone know if this CFW will run PSX backups from MM? That's all I am waiting for before upgrading.

Thanks for that great info. Coz I tried it with all cfw except this one. That means stay on 3.55. You saved me a pain.

I'm sorry but if it was the next "Kmeaw" we'd be able to update to it FROM an OFW wwithout flashing. Therefor this will be dubbed yet ANOTHER BS useless cfw for those of us that are stuck on ofw ps3s and cant afford a old ps3 with old firmware.
Because as long as I am stuck with my ps3 that was accidently updated to ofw (and yes believe me I learned my lesson about not using a spoof on top of it) if I ever get my hands on a old system with old firmware again and get cfw back...I will certainly use a spoof so it wont happen.(and believe me it wasnt me that did it.) If I lived alone with a cfw ps3 I wouldnt be in this mess!
Oh and that is FALSE about "999 downgrader" its totally USELESS for those of us on ofw. It doesn't even work!

I haven't had so much as a hicup since I went to Rebug 4.21 with the 4.30 spoof, still not banned from PSN and the only game I could not get working is Dead or Alive 5 (and batman Arkham City BLUS, but the GOTY version works fine).

Anyway, the only 'problem' I have had is with reActpsn, not a big deal for me though cus I dont download that many demos.

Just posted this for someone that can't go to a CFW.
I had a Broken PS3 and STILL found a way to get a 3.55 slim.

I just sold my 3.55 CFw phat 2 weeks ago for 180$, I told the dude it would only stay on for a minute without turning its self off from overheating and he still wanted it, and then found a 3.55 ofw slim for 200$.

Sold my sisters 4.25 Slim 4 days ago for $195 and found a phat cfw 3.55 for $150.

Edit: Yep they both work fine, no hair dryer jobs.

I would talk to the dudes that are selling them and ask them for a 1 or 2 week warranty, both sellers I talked to didnt mind doing that.

Just an FYI, I got lucky with the phat I bought, it was the killzone budle, barely plkayed. only came out a year and a half ago, was in really good condition, don't expect that with a majority of the phat systems.

I stream a lot of movies from my PC to the PS3, as you can imagine Cinavia is more than a pest, so Im looking at options to disable this. I was on 3.55, installed keamw 3.55 cfw, then when Rogero announced his 4.30, I installed that. I fancy giving this one a try as it says Cinavia disabled. So If I get the 3.55 ofw on a usb stick, start in recovery, select option to restore to original, I could downgrade using this method? Do I have to go 4.30 - 3.55 OFW - 3.55 CFW - 4.30 CFW to change from Rogero to this?

yeah thats about it....course u run the downgrader pup first from xmb....i just install kmeaw twice after that w/toggle qa to make sure the hashes are reset.....then the 4.xx cfw u want.

anyway ermac an rogero are about the same...if anything rogero's is the worst if cinavia is really disabled on ermac.....but yeah alot are on rogero cuz he released his first..right after bluedisk got owned by the keys or whatever.

that said rebug is the best cfw right now....i'm gonna switch to it one of these days i think.

Help!!! I have installed this CFW and I have changed my HD and now needs to install the FIRMWARE again, but when i put the Ermac CFW on pendrive, shows that is Corrupt Data. When I insert the old HD, shows that is not possible start the software system and ask to install the FIRMWARE again...

I Tried this, but again Corrupt Data on ErmaC 4.30...

Is there other thing that i can do?

When I put the original HD on CFW 4.30 ErmaC is the same problem...

Hey try ErmaC 4.30 1.4
Google it up for a download link. PSX-Scene will soon come with the link. I found one from here I hope it will solve ur problem. let me know.

Yeap. 1.4 was released yesterday.
Changes since 1.3:

- Another round of small bug fixes, including the bug that was detected with some 3D TVs that were not recognized as such when using cfw 4.30
- A few more cosmetic changes

I flashed the 1.4v from recovery seems to be working fine except that I get an error occurred during the start operation 80029519 when trying to run MM why isn't it working? did I forget something? it's been a while since I flashed 3.55 so not sure if I need to do something else.

any idea why it ain't working?

what version mM? you'll need the most up to date full/base version & then the latest update

yup I got the newest one, it was my bad actually I accidentally downloaded the DEX version and didn't notice which 1 I picked.
