Enable PSN Content on 3.41 Firmware

This may be obvious to some, but gliitch of PS3Hax, has posted a tutorial, on activating your PSN content, so that it's playable on 3.41 firmware. Please note this requires downgrading, so please familiarize yourself with that process, prior to attempting this.

Some people are getting annoyed that they cannot play their PSN content on lower firmwares. Well i have found how to, everything thing ive tried works, so hopefully it will work for you as well.

1: Update your PS3 to 3.50

[ROot] PS3/UPDATE/3.50.PUP

2: Re-Enable PSN with the DNS hack

DNS PRIMARY: 67.202.81.137

Same for secondary
3: Now sign into PSN and go to Account Management —> Activate account –> PS3

Download PSN Content.

4: Once downloaded, start the game, then exit to XMB.

5: Backup Hard disk, from the system menu.

6: Downgrade to 3.41

7: Restore backup

8: now you can play your PSN Game on 3.41

Dude, read my comment, I've tried it 4 times, and I could not get it to work, that's why I would want someone to do a tutorial.

can't u just backup the ACT.DAT file and all of the activation .RIF files and achieve the very same thing? Keep in mind that if you have multiple user with PSN content you would need to backup those files for all users. One should also back up the activation files in dev_flash2\drm\psn

All you jailbreakers out there should, BACKUP dev_flash, dev_flash2, dev_flash3 & ALL HDD CONTENT BEFORE Downgrading.

i read your article, then i have a question, if i upgrade my ps3 firmward to v3.5, i also can downgrade it with ps3 break downgraders later as well, right?

I already have PSN games and a 3.50 fw console , what should I do ?

and , what do you mean "Download PSN Content."? extra games? or what?

if your firmware is already V3.5, just start from step2 , but i am not sure , just my thought, it's not so easy to get it.

The method doesnt seem to work anymore. I'm being asking for the update to download. DNS method is canned again

Does anyone else have the problem?

I just discover that today, i'm unable to go PSN with DNS trick on official V3.50. Looks like SONY have silently fix the trick. It will prompt you to install update once you sign in. :P
