PSX-SCENE Forum Discussion for Sony PlayStation/PsOne/PS2/PS3/PSP/PS VITA
  • eCFW 6.60 TN-B for Urbanix & Mad Blocker Alpha

After not long, Urbanix, a game needed to make use of the leaked PS Vita's PSP kernel exploit, was taken down from Sony servers. Now the next game able to make use of the kernel exploit was removed before a public announcement, the game was Mad Blocker Alpha. So unless you've already got it, you're out of luck.

A H.BIN mod was also released for previous exploited games HERE, or pre-compiled for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite HERE. But recent reports tells us that the pre-compiled/pre-packaged H.BIN mods only work for FW1.80 using the game Monster Hunter. Support for older exploited games on firmware below 1.80 need some modifications to the firmware. So time will tell.

Now that the name of the game is public knowledge Total_Noob has released his updated eCFW TN-B.

    From Wololo.net:
Total_Noob just released an update to his eCFW for the Vita, CEF 6.60 TN Hen. The game makes compatibility with previous exploits easier to achieve, brings some bug fixes, but more importantly, brings compatibility with the game Mad blocker Alpha.

For people on previous exploits who haven’t updated to one of the 3 exploits mentioned above, I’d say stay tuned. At some point TN’s work will be made open source (as he said a few days ago), and porting the eCFW to your exploit will become possible at that point.

Credits go to Total_Noob for the CFW, and to Frostegater for the Mad blocker alpha usermode exploit.

It’s pulled from the PSVita system. I can’t see it at all! It’s on my PS3 but when I go to grab it from the PS3 to PSVita it’s no where to be found. I checked this an 2hours ago.

      DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!

      Quake

P.S. Unless you already have the PSP Mini backed up to your PC with OpenCMA it's a waste of time.

Rejects posted the game on PSN informing Sony last night/Early this monring.

      Edit: More like 3hrs @ 9.30amEST. not 2 hours.

      Update:
UK Stores - PULLED - Last Night (Sometime)
      US Stores - PULLED - 10/09/2012 12:30pm Est. - 1:30pm Est.

Proof that I can see it on my PSP just fine.

Incase some ppl don't believe they can BLACK LIST a game to be transferred to the PsVita.

The game is not pulled from the PS Vita, it is pulled from the PS Store (sorry, but i have to point out the difference so that someone will believe that the game actually is pulled from the Vita system itself). Why transfer it from the PS3 by the way? Why not download it directly on the Vita itself?

I'm pretty sure that Sony monitors those sites themself.

Here you go: >>> Mad Blocker Alpha Needs to be pulled ASAP! - PlayStation® Community Forums

And for your info. With the New firmwares of the PS3 Sony has been able to send a black list to your system to tell it what not to be available to transfer to the PsVita. Sorry to burst your bubble. See Above attatchment.

Edit: Oh just to let you know. Once the Exploit is patched and a new Firmware is made Mandatory available. The game will be unlisted. Cause when a Firmware update is available on the PsVita and you try to connect to PS3 it won't let you past that till you do. Hence why OpenCMA was made.

Sure, i didnt say that no one reported it I just mean that i'm pretty sure that Sony monitors these sites regardless. So even if no one tell it to Sony, i think that Sony will find out themself anyway.

No worries, you didnt burst any bubbles What i ment is, why use the PS3 to buy the game, then transfer the game to the Vita? Why not buy the game directly from the Vita? I understand that this isnt possible when the game is pulled from the PS Store, but when you wrote your earlier post, then the game was available on the US Store. That is why i wondered.

But i see now that you only ment that the game is blocked from the Vita when trying to transfer it from the PS3.

Sure, i know. The game will be added back later on, but then a new firmware is out and the exploit wont work anymore, indeed.

Why are you in denial that Sony checks other sites? Look at the legal documents from Geohot's court case and you will see that Sony monitors, and takes screenshots, of sites like this.

I wonder who is feeding Sony info on the games that are gunna be made public...

Yes, it is your right, i was just wondering why

But how do you update the firmware on it? I guess that you wont connect to the PS Store to avoid the EULA, but you have to agree to the EULA when you update the firmware.

same ol same ol, i doubt it will be the last game that has an exploit anyway.

for those that missed out, wait for the next one.

If you have a second vita memory card then you should always put the exploited game on both of them, I' m not sure about a black list being uploaded but I can say that if you give Sony access to the Vita eg. through the ps3's CMA, they can remove the license file for the game.
