E3 Team Announces New PS3 Jailbreak(s) + Two Dongle-Free Patches

UPDATE 2: A fix for the FIFA patch has been added, see below for more info. UPDATE: Video added, showcasing Splinter Cell Trilogy HD (Disc version, not PSN version), which had not been "fixed" before by any other dongles; this is something they claim only their team can currently do. In case some of you are not aware, there has been rumors of a new True Blue clone, that is soon to be released by the E3 Team. The truth behind this matter, is that E3 have actually created their own method for playing 3.60+ games on 3.55 FW; in fact, they have found three different ways. I will let them take if from there, in this interview recently brought to my attention. Also, be sure to grab these two dongle-free EBOOT patches E3 has released with this announcement; Ninja Gaiden 3 and FIFA Street 2012.

Few days ago, there was news posted on various websites that we had cloned JB2 (aka) 'True Blue' successfully.

We clarify we did not clone any other product, but we did find the ways on how to allow the newer games to work on CFW v3.55.

Our research has found 3 different ways to allow newer games to work on older firmwares!

A way:
No need of any new keys, but allows SOME new games to work on CFW v3.55 with a special bypass.
We think the USB device on market uses this system. (Maybe)
With this method, most games even v4.11 games can run on CFW v3.55 very easily.
But there has some games that can't work with this A way.
E3 TEAM knows this A way very well and can modify a newer v3.6+ game in 10 min.

B way:
Decrypt games with it's private key and encrypt with v3.55 key, so game can run on CFW v3.55 successfully.
For example, you need v3.65 key to decrypt v3.65 game. Need v4.11 key to decrypt v4.11 game.
E3 Team can successfully get all newer keys up to v4.11.
We are 100% sure we can get all keys to v4.20 or higher FW with same way, only it takes some more time.
This means, E3 TEAM can decrypt all newer games with this B way.
As a matter of a fact, we are planning a newer CFW (no more need to be stuck on v3.55) when we have completed our research.

C way:
Modify Blu-Ray firmware to allow newer games to run on older firmware.
But only a few of the newer games can work with this C way, so we stopped researching this method.

We are in the progress of developing a new USB device, to allow users to enjoy our work with economical cost.
We will release further news and list of its features regarding this new product at a later date.

Finally, to thank all of users whom have supported us in the past with our previous products, like the E3 Card Reader and E3 Flasher, we have decided to release 2 game eboots for free for everyone to enjoy that work directly on any console running CFW v3.55 directly.

PS: Unfortunately the latest Slim 3000x consoles can't work currently with methods mentioned above, as it is fully difference design compared to the older PS3 consoles, but have no fear we are still working hard on solving this Jailbreak puzzle.

Remember our current product, The E3 Flasher is also very useful for Dual-Boot and to downgrade on older consoles, as for now we need to still stay on CFW v3.55.

Below is links to our proof videos to show our work. First we run Ninja Gaiden 3 using the A way and then second we run Splinter Cell Trilogy HD with B way, which no matter how hard you have tried the A way it will never run.

Finally, some users might have to 'Rebuild the Database' via the PS3 Recovery Menu, if their PS3 has cached the wrong ver. code from the previously unpatched SPRX file!

The E3 Team are also sorry for all the inconveniences regarding this issue.

tthousand's hint !!! To make these games playable on your 3.41 machines, simply apply the patch, and the edit the PARAM.SFO to say 3.41 instead of 3.55(or whatever).

So they announce it is a 10 min job once you know how to do it.
They prove it's possible to do by releasing 2 unencrypted eboots.
They announce they are going to charge for it.

E3 = no better then TB

I would never spend my hard earned money on an "illegal" product

The only people that should be making money from these games are the people who create these games, not us pirates who steal them (in 10 mins e3 proudly states) how long does it take to make a game? longer than 10 mins let me tell you. if I could afford these games Id be buying them.

NEWS UPDATE:

Video Proof by E3 Team is now working, and they also want to make it clear to readers of this thread that 'Splinter Cell Trilogy HD' * Blu-ray Version * (not the PSN one) has not been released by any other dongles, and that is the reason this game was included in this 'video proof' is because this Blu-Ray game needs new special ways to able to play correctly on CFW v3.55 consoles, something they claim the other groups are NOT able to do so yet

i mite be missing sommit here but i have Splinter Cell Trilogy HD here working on my 3.552 rebug FW! had it for months so i dont get this eboot patch that they released

EDIT. was spliter cell released as a PSN game in HD? if so ignore the above lol

Those with tb dongles may be left with no more updates / patches...

The tb haters will buy this dongle after all there complaints about said dongles?

It may have better support than tb, and quicker releases, fair enough.

E3, new cfw... Yeah, with a dongle only, and I suspect remaining on 3.55 with certain patches via the dongle.

Why would they create a cfw that leaves there stock of e3 downgrade flashers useless?

Playing all the latest games, with rapid releases, and support would perhaps increase sales of the E3 flasher.

Don't expect anything for some time without a dongle, it's the way it is now.

Somebody works it out, then realises they can make good money from it, do you blame them?

Interesting all the same, tb may give up, they may try harder to compete, time will tell.

I hope this is true. This will force TB release more patches if they want to keep their customers. I'm tired of their protection updates.

These developers who's work they are profiting from... Where's there release if they had all the info beforehand?

People would of donated to them if they released surely...

I don't want to derail this topic, we all have our own views.

Like I said, time will tell what this brings us, I expect another dongle with very little more on offer than what we have now, but I hope I'm proved wrong.

i do doubt E3 will release free eboots/new cfw without needing to buy something....so yeah we'll still probably be paying for this.

now if they release a new cfw/new eboots all for free....like these 2 games.....then they would be better than TB.

somehow i still think they are looking to get paid off this.

bottom line, after showing us we don't need some dongle to run these games.....they will fully contradict themselves and show they are nothing more than money grubbing hackers like tb if they make us buy something ect.

Some people are retarded enougth to compare DRM dongles to mod chips. Modchips were needed, these dongles aren't.

Even the TB fanboys would go on to say how it isn't proven that the dongle isn't needed because of it's "powerful" processor etc... Well, this proves it.

Anyways can someone here explain this part of logic for me? Why is that the majority of people on here (roughly 90%) pirate video games (which cost over $100s) and the (legitimate) game developers are losing their hard earned money from it. Then these majority of the people are calling TB/E3 (other DRM makers) money grubbing hackers. Yet they are leaches who pirate video games (kinda hurting the gaming industry) and have a pirated PS3 game on their backup manager.

So here is my question.

What makes you a better person than TB/E3 or (other DRM makers) in a way you are stealing stuff anyway but you are not getting paid for it but hate on someone who is getting paid for distributing illegal eboots that are cracked? I am really sorry and this WILL insult many people when I say this but if you pirate video games you really need to get your priorites straight before you point a finger and tell someone else what they are doing is wrong when you clearly is stealing (WAY MORE THAN $60 per unit) who are the real thieves here

For god sakes we are talking about WAREZ (pirated video games have room for morality and principals now?) what is this? I don't even....

you cant blame then for wanting to earn money for their work, donations sometimes are just as evil, id buy the dongle if it means good support, people just want to get things free, and they forget buying a dongle its just like paying for a single game, if you hate these greedy teams just start buying games if you can, and stop trying to justify using CFW just for the homebrew and stuff like that, you also cant deny things got more difficult now compared to before where you just needed a modchip and you were set, so dont go on demanding progress like that.
