    Here is a not so surprising yet very surprising announcement by the E3 team. Not only do they confirm the downgrade of the latest official firmware to firmware 3.55 but also announce that they are investigating a CEX to DEX downgrade update to their E3 flasher. This update will allow you to up/downgrade between firmwares by simple using a switch and will be a free update to existing E3 owners. Nice, not bad, but there is more...

    They also announce that they will be releasing "lots of free EBOOTS" and if that doesn't interest you they also have the following to say...

    "We will release a great news for all PS3 user in next few days" What the hell does that mean? Is it the elusive dongle? I guess we have no choice and will have to wait and see.


    About E3 Announcement:
    • E3 Flasher downgrade and dual boot 4.21 OFW successfully . We also successfully dual boot DEX3.55-CEX3.55 . We are studying other dual boot way like DEX4.2-CEX4.21, DEX4.2-CEX3.55 which can help E3 flasher user enjoy more function .
    • We are developing one key switch function for E3 flasher user. User convert DEX to CEX and CEX to DEX very easy ,just like our one key downgrade way.
    • We will release it free for E3 flasher user when complete.
    • We will release a great news for all PS3 user in next few days, and also with lots of free new game EBOOT .

    UPDATE1:
    Here are two new EBOOTS. Due to the file name they look like E3 releases. No official news from E3 but these games are OFW 3.73 and 4.01 respectively.

      Or we could simply wait and see what TB team has to offer for us simpler and easier with replacing a eboot and not have to switch FW's etc.

      wtf does this have to do with this topic....this is great news...there giving free eboots away everyone can use and your going to "wait and see what TB offers that is simpler to use" when u can use these without some crappy drm dongle that isn't needed...there offering more options for there users with cex\dex...i find this great news thx e3 and keep up the great work...bury tru blu

      @wartutor gntle meant that he prefers EBOOT replacement over switching firmware in order to play certain releases. He prefers the simple True Blue way. His opinion I guess.

      Their flasher still requires people to open up and disassemble their ps3.
      TB is still a easier option.

      Free eboots are always nice though.

      I wonder what they're going to release
      maybe cfw 4.21 with psn or maybe cfw 3.55 spoofed to ofw 4.21 with psn and a dongle of course. Gotta have one of those, lol.

      Just out of curiosity, is this dual boot feature is only applicable for NOR console only?

      Personally, I am really interested in E3 but I am put back by its lack of clear, no bs documentation... To my knowledge, there is no clear step-by-step photo guide to get it running with dual firmware (OFW 4.21 and CFW 3.55)...

      great news from E3 i think (and this is my personal opinion) E3 will give better support for their upcoming dongle than any other dongle in the market i am a TB owner but look at how E3 has supported previous products and continue to do so E3 will out sell TB quite quickly as i said my personal opinion.

      yeah they said they was going to release a nand clip board (at least there site has said soon but that was a while ago...) i wonder what ever happened to that project and if there still working on it...i'd really like to have one of those to fix my wanko brick board (don't want to have to solder to fix it as the board is mint other than the bad fw) and would like to set it up for dual boot with it for testing purposes

      I'm sure there was a software fix for wanko bricks a couple months ago.

      the only fix i've heard of requires a hardware flasher (correct me if i'm wrong) but u have to have a flasher and i would love a solderless solution so i could use it on others easily

      great, more free eboots from E3, we will probably see some A grade titles like My little pony adventures, disney singstar or some game along those lines... i wishi they could release some great games that TB hasnt made available yet, like resistance 3 (the eboot patch, not the BD).

      Well , as Warning said , free e-boots are always good
      though , after i bought my first dongle and a week or so after that , the cfw came
      i swore not to buy any dongle
      tho i think E3 is gonna surprise us (i hope)

      yeah, i guess you are right. At least the people who dont have dongles can still get some free games to play and get entertained while some new free solution comes up

      Will these eboots work no matter if you have the E3 device or not(I know silly question but just wanted to be sure)
      Hopefully they release some really good game fixes like MLB 12 The Show been waiting for a fix for that game for a really long time. I have TB but any kind of eboot fix will be a good thing :-)

      The E3 supports NAND chips by simply soldering a few points from the E3 to the motherboard. The current diagram however so shitty that you cannot make out what points to solder the wires onto, but E3 gives the names of the points. I guess if you know the motherboards of NAND consoles well you could use the names to find the points, but they really need a better diagram photo.
