E3 Releases CFW 4.30

This is no surprise. The E3 team has just released custom firmware 4.30. Dubbed E3 CFW 4.30, this custom firmware also includes a backup manager. Reports suggest that it's an old rendition of Deank's multiMAN. As usual I would advise our members to hold off and wait till true scene developers release some information regarding this custom firmware. Call me paranoid if you will but I am curious if this CFW includes any hidden agendas. Also DO NOT install this custom firmware from CFW 3.55 without following the correct procedures.

The E3TEAM has released the latest E3 CFW4.30 for free. The bricking issue has been improved. Just download here and enjoy. (Pass is ' www.e3-tech.net ')

Here we mention to E3 flasher users that you do not need to solder a wire to use the latest upgrade.bin file to unbrick a console.

I found some additional info via ps3news that also mentions a previous announcement from the 26^th of this month that was later removed.

You still need to be on CFW v3.55 or OFW v3.55 to install this new CFW v4.30 from the E3 Team.
It is best if downgrading to follow the normal steps and dehashing like with Rogero just to be sure of no bricks.
E3 will be releasing an upgraded E3 Flasher 'update.bin' (firmware) to handle direct downgrading to CFW v4.30. (Beware: Their hardware required, just one of many strings disclosed)

i know it will download just fine havent tried it yet but official update works fine... the only thing i cant access are the online games that has pass codes like tekken tag, saints row etc but games without passcode works fine.. i keep dcing though maybe its my internet connection.. i enjoy changing cfw too lol its thrilling i dont even know which is better e3 or this new rogero the e3 works fine but i change still to rogero

Took the plunge last night, 10-28-2012 and to my surprise.... It all worked great. I was originally at Cobra 3.55 went to 3.55 OFW-->E3 4.30 CFW, all was done in recovery mode. PS3 CECH-2001B.

i haven't heard of any bricking with this firmware yet. Can anyone confirm. i have heard of people on the rogero getting bricked on 4.21 and 4.30 but not the e3

might be one. seems pretty safe i guess, but still not quite up to the standards as 3.55 i think.
i have a feeling they might be able to get 3.55 apps to run on a firmware taking out the need to resign stuff.

on the ps3 news site it say to not use this without e3 flasher because you will be stuck at 4.30? i thought i saw you can downgrade without flasher

Thats not true you can downgrade easy peasy with rogero's method and upgrade back to any CFW you like! I am going to actually stay on E3 for the time being. I felt it runs a little faster and PSN access is flawless I even bought and activated Nights in to Dreams and some free dlc just like people on OFW! If I get banned no problem XD I already got the game I wanted from there.

I garantee this one is pretty safe I'have upgraded directly from Rogero 3.21 1.09d trough XMB! I have been using it and it is actually good! You can downgrade back safely, You are waiting more homebrew apps to be avaliable to CFW 4.30? Wich ones? Well those who wait always get the better ;D. I am just a merely tester here I love the psx-scene very much so I test every CFW for the benefit of the scene and all the people here who want to provide a better way of using the most of their consoles.

i just have a bunch of psn games and i update showtime due to compatibility all the time. in fact, i have an old 3.1 or so version that helps me play vids better.

i'm waiting now cause i have games i wanted fixed, fixed except like one or two psn ones.

i hope so because the resign stuff is over complicated, in the meantime i'm staying on rebug 3.55.2, no way am i losing over 100 psn games.

same here, plus i'm pretty content. i got a game i've wanted patched and plenty of other interesting games i will look into.
the scene has really picked up lately.

IS this safe on my FAT 80gb CECHK06 NAND 16mb? Im still on kmeaw 3.55...desperate to jump in coz of PSN access

Yes 4.08.01 and now 4.09 support this firmware.

Wow so much E3 hate and seems unwarranted. They are a good team and their flasher is well made and helped many people downgrade slims to work with custom firmware. When I was on 3.41JB I used their dongle and it was cheap and well supported. First one that allowed dual payload by inserting or removing sdhc card and then after 3.55 came along and made dongles useless they turned their dongle into that gold finger thing that let you do game hacking like an action replay device. They fibbed a little saying they would release fixed TB eboots but that became unneeded as others took on that task. I actually spent close to 50 on a crapp X3 with the promise it would do 3.55jb and it was all a fat lie....remember those asses. They never even released easy to install payloads like E3 did. So quit dogging them and be happy to use either their or Rogeros 4.3 CFW

I wonder if anyone has tried a HD upgrade or recover failed HD with this firmware. According to thread over at the Cove people are having semi-bricks with Rogero 4.3 when changing HDs with NOR models. One guy claims it is because Rogero put emblem on 4.3 and it messed the LV0 bootstrap. Guess it was a real pain to get back but he did. I just wonder if this firm has the same problem. Someone with a NOR model and a flasher want to try it....also same guy claims Rogero appears to be a bastardized E3.....interesting as E3 was out first with 4.3. I upgraded a friends CECHA launch model fat to Rogeros and all seems fine so I am not messing with it and risking it. I have a CECHK late model fat but have TB3.55 and a crap load of games so with all the eboot fixes coming out have just decided to hold off until 4.x CFWs get cooked to perfection. Also $ony released 4.31 which does what? And isn't mandatory. I think they know their asses are owned and won't bother with a new .x update ever time a new CFW comes out because it will do no good....so they will just keep picking on us Vita owners trying to use game exploits to run eCFW a which works great by the way ifmyouncan catch one of wololos ninja releases and get a game that is exploitable before $ony yanks and patches it!

I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF OF THIS CFW YESTERDAY. HERE IS WHAT I DID:

I was able to downgrade the e3 4.30 CFW using Rebug's 999 downgrader PUP>Rebug 3.55(INSTALLED REBUG TOOLBOX AND ENABLED QA FLAG AND THEN DUMPED MY NAND/NOR FILES)>Rebug 4.21.

The process took about 30 minutes but was definitely worth it. I tried to make this sound as easy as possible for anyone wanting to get off of the e3 4.30 CFW.
