E3 Releases CFW 4.30

This is no surprise. The E3 team has just released custom firmware 4.30. Dubbed E3 CFW 4.30, this custom firmware also includes a backup manager. Reports suggest that it's an old rendition of Deank's multiMAN. As usual I would advise our members to hold off and wait till true scene developers release some information regarding this custom firmware. Call me paranoid if you will but I am curious if this CFW includes any hidden agendas. Also DO NOT install this custom firmware from CFW 3.55 without following the correct procedures.

The E3TEAM has released the latest E3 CFW4.30 for free. The bricking issue has been improved. Just download here and enjoy. (Pass is ' www.e3-tech.net ')

Here we mention to E3 flasher users that you do not need to solder a wire to use the latest upgrade.bin file to unbrick a console.

I found some additional info via ps3news that also mentions a previous announcement from the 26^th of this month that was later removed.

You still need to be on CFW v3.55 or OFW v3.55 to install this new CFW v4.30 from the E3 Team.
It is best if downgrading to follow the normal steps and dehashing like with Rogero just to be sure of no bricks.

Sony made a mistake with the signing algorithm with 3.55 OFW meaning we can sign anything to make the ps3 think it's 3.55 OFW, we have no way of signing the update PUP's to make the ps3 think it's for higher firmwares, it's not as simple as you might think

there has to be something, if they could make update from CFW 3.55 to CFW 4.30, than they could normaly make update from OFW 4.30 to CFW 4.30.....

@Logi2011 It WILL come, just give it 2-4 weeks and then a lot more is cracked open.

The ps3 "thinks" it's installing 3.55 because of the keys we use, us signing something for 3.55 will obviously not work on 4.30
The actual firmware version isn't the only thing to make the ps3 accept the update PUP

EDIT: I'm amazed at how many people want Kmeaw. Seriously, why him? His CFW was basically Wutangrza's with support for syscall 36 already included instead of being installed by pkg. So even back then, It wasn't groundbreaking and by now It's outdated, doesn't have as many features as Rebug and Rogero's. Not calling it bad, but you guys are overrating him.

For the flasher you are wrong...people will buy what they can get faster and cheaper and that do the job...Nonsense to buy a more expensive flasher or waiting for another if you can buy an E3 flasher near you as they do the same and good job...even if you brick using their CFW (not related to the flasher)

For the second thing, why people like Kmeaw CFW : cause nobody brick with Kmeaw...his CFW was and still be safe & stable, more than the new challengers (and brickers). Everybody remember the Waninkoko nightmare before getting the Kmeaw great job...It was used by the most people for years now...He deserves respect too !

Absolutly thats why I am staying on KMEAW's CFW for a long time even DUPLEX recommends staying on 3.55 for now.

I don't trust E3.

Now I know Windfall is probably going to reply and repeat what he has said several times of them needing to sell products blah blah bollocks blah. But fact of the matter is that I have a bad memory yet even I remember 4 times that E3 have lied in the past within the PS3 scene.

This CFW may be stable but there is bound to be a hidden agenda about something or the other. I'll just wait until someone else makes 4.30 CFW because I am not going to touch any of their work.

i am still on CFW 3.55kmew and will stay on it for a while..i sure hope he shows up this time..lol..btw still waiting for rogero's more stable one..i mean a stable firmware where i cn play the PSN patched ones and the PS1 games i downloaded to play...

People need to stop waiting for KMEAW. He left the scene a long time ago.

Best to rely on devs who are actually in the scene doing something. Rogero is obviously one and maybe Rebug will make a new CFW but with all the features Rebug puts into their CFWs theirs will take a little longer to do.

Very good advice. Also everybody should make a flash dump using multiMAN before doing anything. If something goes wrong you'll have a way to fix it with your flasher

I agree with that 100%. we will stick with 3.55 cfw until someone else makes 4.30 CFW

you will be waiting a while for something like that to come along, i need it too, way too many games to lose if i upgrade so staying on rebug 3.55 for now.

you are missing out, rogero 4.21 works perfectly and all current games working. I dont see a reason to stay on 3.55 anymore

they won't make a normal OFW 4.30 to CFW 4.30 because if they do then people with OFW don't need to buy their flasher to downgrade to 3.55.

I went to Rogero 4.21 just to get to use Netflix, I haven't even tried any games yet. Still, this CFW seems to work perfectly well, I have not found anything yet that didn't work as intended.

KMEAW 3.55 is stable & safe

Also rogero 4.21 is still in testing stage's but
A stable rogero 4.21 should be coming soon.
rogero 4.30 I would like to see that, That would be cool.
and I do have the's file's But Funny thing is
That Newer Fix'es are coming out
But there coming out for the CFW I'm already on lol
