E3 Releases CFW 4.30

This is no surprise. The E3 team has just released custom firmware 4.30. Dubbed E3 CFW 4.30, this custom firmware also includes a backup manager. Reports suggest that it's an old rendition of Deank's multiMAN. As usual I would advise our members to hold off and wait till true scene developers release some information regarding this custom firmware. Call me paranoid if you will but I am curious if this CFW includes any hidden agendas. Also DO NOT install this custom firmware from CFW 3.55 without following the correct procedures.

The E3TEAM has released the latest E3 CFW4.30 for free. The bricking issue has been improved. Just download here and enjoy. (Pass is ' www.e3-tech.net ')

Here we mention to E3 flasher users that you do not need to solder a wire to use the latest upgrade.bin file to unbrick a console.

I found some additional info via ps3news that also mentions a previous announcement from the 26^th of this month that was later removed.

You still need to be on CFW v3.55 or OFW v3.55 to install this new CFW v4.30 from the E3 Team.
It is best if downgrading to follow the normal steps and dehashing like with Rogero just to be sure of no bricks.

thisisbullshit, E3 4.30 CFW. The E3 on the CFW name, while It's the team's name, can also be seen as an marketing scheme, people will relate E3 quality CFW with the quality of their products and will buy E3 Flasher instead of Progskeet. Calling this Condoriano CFW wouldn't market E3 Flasher, as most people probably wouldn't even bother looking at who created it.

leejfoster, you're on OFW 4.30, you can't install CFWs, you gotta downgrade back to 3.55 with hardware flasher. There are a few people to successfully installed this, but not enough reports to be sure It's brick-free.

You'll need to downgrade your console as far back as it will allow (whatever firmware was on it when you purchased it) then install 3.55ofw before installing this or any other of these new CFW's. You and I are currently in the same boat... well almost. At least you can still play yours, lol. But yeah, downgrade to 3.55 if even possible, then new CFW's, no exceptions.

But with all the keys leaked, i think in maybe 2-4 weeks we can install CFW from the >3.55 OFWs. It just takes some time to decrypt and modify them.

Sorry 4 saying this, i dont think this new custom firmware is stable 4 this moment, but i do love where i am rite now by using Rogero latest 4.21 firmware i can play all my backup like a charm..Thnks Rogero you're super human

And here it is again E3 CFW, so i assure you if this every works 100% (it wont) there will be no updates, compatibility with other homebrew etc. If they even are 1/10th as dedicated as Rogero I'll be really f*cking surprised.

This. I really dont like this team. Prob the CFW is just a spooefer to 4.30 with 4.21 key. No surprise duh. Imma stick with Rogero for now

I see your point. I would have gladly tried this CFW over Rogero if I would have possessed the willpower to do so. I was just feeling lucky at the moment I guess when I tried Rogero out. I'm not trying to bash on Rogero or anything, I was hopeful all would work out for the best and I'd be enjoying some new games right about now. But yeah, in hindsight... I probably would have given this a shot instead because E3 has stuck their name on it. And those guys have products to sell, a shoddy CFW wouldn't instill much consumer confidence had it been rushed. (Just my 2 cents). I'm just thinking this CFW would have been a better way to go at this point.

It all depends on what model you have, some are compatible... and others, not so much. You've got to google a bit and find the compatibility chart. I think I found it on modchipscentral or something.

ok but what about the consoles that come with ofw above 3.55 , in this condition we cant install it .

BK Heritage, you can only call a CFW unstable once you have tested it. Rogero is does everything for free, he doesn't really have anything to loose in case It bricks people PS3. E3 is trying to market It's products, bad CFW = bad products = bad sales = less cash. If we're gonna assume things, It's actually safer to assume E3 CFW is more stable then Rogero's.

E3 Flasher, Teensy, Progskeet, pretty sure there are others. I have Progskeet, can't give feedback on E3 Flasher.

STALKER: Well... Deal with it. Those consoles come with a whole new set of keys and better security, It took years to make major improvement on the old PS3 scene, will take more for newer models, and that is, if someone actually manages to hack it.

Obviously more people have to flash each time a new CFW is out, even if only 1% brick they are sure to sell to new brickers a few of their 0 wire soldering flasher
