E3 Releases CFW 4.30

This is no surprise. The E3 team has just released custom firmware 4.30. Dubbed E3 CFW 4.30, this custom firmware also includes a backup manager. Reports suggest that it's an old rendition of Deank's multiMAN. As usual I would advise our members to hold off and wait till true scene developers release some information regarding this custom firmware. Call me paranoid if you will but I am curious if this CFW includes any hidden agendas. Also DO NOT install this custom firmware from CFW 3.55 without following the correct procedures.

The E3TEAM has released the latest E3 CFW4.30 for free. The bricking issue has been improved. Just download here and enjoy. (Pass is ' www.e3-tech.net ')

Here we mention to E3 flasher users that you do not need to solder a wire to use the latest upgrade.bin file to unbrick a console.

I found some additional info via ps3news that also mentions a previous announcement from the 26^th of this month that was later removed.

You still need to be on CFW v3.55 or OFW v3.55 to install this new CFW v4.30 from the E3 Team.
It is best if downgrading to follow the normal steps and dehashing like with Rogero just to be sure of no bricks.

Pretty sure the dual FW and solderless flashers happened. Updates aren't necessary if everything works 100%. Compatibility with other homebrew, as far as I know, wouldn't be up to them but to devs to make it compatible with this CFW. I don't want to sound rude Patrick, but feels like you're bashing this just because you don't like E3 Team and not for legit reasons. I'm not really defending them though, haven't tested this CFW or any of their products so I can't say if they're good.

LilGrim, why Kmeaw CFW? His CFW while stable, was very basic, we probably had thousands of those. I think Rogero and Rebug had the most features and was just as stable as Kmeaw's. Oh, btw, I'm pretty sure he quit the scene.

People on crunch have confirmed you are able to downgrade from this firmware back to 355, then to rogero's 109 again. Users have also reported that they couldn't use the current version of multiman and had to use E3's version, which isn't as stable or full of features. I haven't done any of this myself... probably gonna wait for rogero's 4.30

Well , It was a long wait but it was totally worth it
Now we've got CFWs pouring down one by one
But i'll probably do as i did back when i had my 3.41 and a Dongle and i'll wait 'till a stable CFW come out. That wouldn't be so hard since i've got a bunch of games not played and Duplex just released AC:III
Kudos to everyone who hasn't updated to OFW when we had no new games!

just my luck... after waiting a week, I attempted to upgrade to rogero 4.21 v1.09 and bricked. lol. came back on here for info on how to unbrick and saw this... ahhh, life sucks tonight

E3 makes quality CFW = people want to downgrade their PS3 to install it and buy E3 Flasher. I really think this CFW is stable, haven't tested yet, but if they do a bad job they won't be able to sell their products.

If they have abandoned any of the past project, It's probably because they thought It wouldn't give enough cash. Is that a bad thing? No, thats how life works. You don't work for free so why devs should?

EDIT: rainowy, there will always be bricking risks, even for OFWs. Rogero's v1.09 is quite safe, most bricks seems to be happening on fats, but most seem to be installing it fine, while v1.00 was bricking slims.

I've got a CECHH and old girl didn't like v1.09. I'm pretty sure an E3 Flasher would be a waste for me with this model. But maybe I'm mistaken.

Try It yourself and you will see that It doesn't work. 3.55+ has new checks that stops CFWs from being installed. When we will be able to bypass them? Probably never, but who knows, the scene has been moving quite fast these days.

Went from TB CFW>3.55OFW>Rogero 4.21 v1.09>FUBAR
Followed all the instructions... QA, all that... wish I had waited and tried this instead.
Currently weighing my options on how to proceed.

i hope to find away to bypass this , cuz its just annoying to see an 4.30 cfw and we cant get it only if we have 3.55
