DEX Test Build Of Showtime Released - v4.01.184

If you follow the test builds of Showtime Media Player and are an habitual DEX user, then this one is for you. A DEX version of Showtime Media Player has been released, which is four revisions behind the CEX test builds, for those with converted CEX to DEX consoles. Great for those not wanting to revert back to CEX to check out some updates to Showtime. When installing this you will have to launch Showtime twice. First launch does some configuration, after that the app should launch.

Also here is a standalone 3.55-4.21 DEX version, too:

Showtime 04.01.184 [DEX].pkg (6.36MB)

* Install the package
* Start Showtime from TV/Video column (it will quit to XMB the first time after it preps some data)
* Start Showtime again

Why do we need this "DEX" version of Showtime? The PS3 in my possession (CECHA-01) has always ran the test builds of Showtime since the CEX->DEX method was released, even still to this day since showtime finally has an update feature built-in, I always get the newest showtime test build when new ones are released.

Am I missing something or do NOR PS3's not run the CEX Showtime on DEX?

You're probably on 3.55CFW DEX. If you were on 3.60-4.21 then you'll need this 'dex' version.

Ahh that makes more sense, lucky for us we have a 3.55 DEX Software downgrade PUP. But yeah, I'm using DEX MFW, thanks for the answer DeanK.
