Personally, I was there was 'dislike' button, I think this one should be pulled from the contest, as it is nothing unique, all the OP did was follow those steps, and supply the file, which is already there inside the original PAK.

I understand the concerns and I know the feeling when somebody tries to claim your work as their own. I had conversations with Szalay for many days before about how it works and it was actually based loosely (but with additions) off of the Call Of Juarez dev menu from last month.

Like I said, these menus are programmed into the games themselves. The code would be the same no matter how many times and how many people put it up somewhere.

If you can show that he actually viewed that page before it was brought to our attention than I will pull it. If you would like garyopa, I could also share with you the PMs and other conversations that he and I had about it if that would help alleviate any concerns. If I honestly thought he didn't do this on his own than I would pull it in a heartbeat. My PMs are open to everyone if you want to pursue the issue

I agree completely with Gary. I've been using the dev menu for months and I don't this deserves to be entered into the contest.

Then it's simple. Don't vote for it. I have proof of his thought process while working this out and have offered to share it with garyopa. Normally I wouldn't do that because it involves PMs but I only offered because of who garyopa is and to put this issue to rest.

Nobody has shown any proof that this was stolen from crunch. A dupe maybe, but he's also provided more info on it showing that it works for the 360 as well and for retail discs if you have file manager access on 4.11.

The internet is a big place and people are bound to work out the same thing at different times in different ways. Seeing that these menus are built into the game itself by the game's developers and not hand coded by anyone here or at crunch then I'm not seeing the issue.

I've made my stance about it clear. I have documentation to prove what I'm saying and am more than willing to show garyopa, tthousand, dsapsx or any other person "in charge" and until I see documentation proving otherwise the entry stands as far as I'm concerned.

I have a lot of respect for garyopa. I'm sure if he really thinks it's an issue and can show that szalay visited that page (through an ip check), then he can contact tthousand or dsapsx and we'll get this sorted out. Until then, I don't know what kind of answer you're looking for

Whats the problem here it's not like he is "actually" getting paid for it anyway. The only people making any type of "money" on these forum sites such as Crunch/PSX-Scene is the people who made the forum site to begin with.

I'm sorry, but no. You'll still need the TB. These are developer menus that were used in the creation stages of the game for easy testing for the original coders/debuggers. This gives you full access to everything the devs used

Very very very old. I've had this literally since the game came out. It's pointless as you can only use it with a true blue and backup.

does anyone know how to get out of ai mode>just asking as a few times the kids had loaded dead island and tried to put on the cheat menu and in doing so have went into the ai mode,and all i get after is a list of the achivements of the screen and i can not get rid of the text from the screen.

I would like to know the same thing. I have two PS3's, one with the current OFW and one on 3.55 CFW and would like to do a file transfer to see if it would work on the OFW?

Just wanted to give an update to people wanting to do this with OFW... You must have a CFW 3.55 PS3 and you have to download the full game from the UK psn store then transfer and mod the game and transfer back. Then you can bring the dev menu online.

locate the data folder of your game backup. debugconf.scr goes there. Boot your game and pause it and you'll see a bunch of menus with new cheat options.

you need a jb ps3 and they arnt doing anything to the save game like your trying to do
