  • Custom Cheat PKG Disc Backup Released!

If anyone remembers a wile back when all the commonly used file hosts went down we lost a lot of files. Among them were the cheat pkg files that let you play your game the way you want to. I've made a custom disc backup that has a graphical interface for installing all of the cheat pkg files that I could find. I thought you guys might like to check it out. There will be updates in the future any time a new cheat pkg is released or if I missed anything on the first release. You will only need to download the main disc backup once. All future updates will be able to be applied by simple drag-and-drop in windows. NO HASSLE GUARANTEE

Alll credits go to the original posters and to the people that were able to salvage these download links. More info about what these cheat pkg files can do can be found here:

    New Cheats PKG Collection

    And

    .::Codemasters Project::.

There is also a txt file at the root of the disc backup that can be loaded in multiMAN's File Manager that shows you what most of these cheats will do and how to use them. Now on with the show. Pics and vids aren't the best, but you guys will get the idea

Before anyone asks about the artwork it's not mine. It just reminded me of a frustrated gamer

    Download via

This is a large (1 gig) download. You will only have to download once. Future updates will be much smaller and applied to the original download very easily

Treat this like any other backup disc. just drop it in your \GAMES folder and load from multiMAN. Enjoy

After playing it in Gamez folder i turned on my ps3, (tb2.5) multiman and then selected the game 'cheat disk'.... booted back to xmb, clicked on the disk like extra content disk, and it was empty!

Edit.... you have to press a button when the disk opens.. it works
    1. BahumatLord's Avatar

yeah, because there's close to 90 pkg files on the disc it takes a second to load after clicking on the menu. Everything should be ok with it. If not let me know

does the game need to be backed up? or original disk? i can back it up if needed,

Also im a huge fan of GTA4 and want to add some of the WARZ collection, will it work with that aswell?

Most of these pkg files will work with the disc or with a backup of the disc.
There's a couple that need some files moved around on your hard drive. Those will only work with a backup. More info about them can be found here

only problem with this compiled disc is you can't tell what cheat codes you are enabled or what you are selecting, it's a good effort though, is there anyway i can extract pkgs from the iso and use them indivually?

@jalneme - there's a txt file on the root of the disc that has most of the info you need. You can load it through multiMAN's file manager. I started to add the info so it would appear directly under the icon. The problem was that it couldn't handle the return key so instead of appearing like this:

      Agarest Generations Of War
      1. Max Gold
      2. Max Tp
      3. Max PP
      4. Max Stats
      5. Max Materials
It would have to appear like this
Agarest Generation Of War 1. Max Gold 2. Max Tp 3. Max PP 4. Max Stats5. Max Materials
It would wrap the text into the given area, but you could see how it would look a little ugly. If it's really something you would want I could do it and have an update that includes the info like you want. It just might look a little funny but the info will be there

All the pkg files can be removed and used individually someway else if you like. If you look at the ICON2.png in each of the folders it will give you an idea of what game the pkg is for. For the games that have a cheat pkg for NTSC and PAL versions then you open the PARAM.SFX file in a good SFO editor or hex editor and the identification is in there.

Also it's not an ISO - it's a regular game backup like you would use with multiMAN

Edit: If that's an update you guys would like it would probably be less than 5-10 megs and can just be dropped into the original backup disc folder. Let me know

You can add easily PARAM.HIP/HIS to display as long text on your homebrew,
Deroad& Sandungas did something pretty nice (Tools & doc on wiki).

      http://psx-scene.com/forums/content/...ter-tool-2005/

The problem will be to make it working as DG for your main pkg but you can add for each cheat pkg if they go to game data utility.

they never compile a pkg even if you request it (they just delete your posts), that is why i was interested in your cheat thing you made, thanks anyways i found all the cheats i wanted including silent hill homecoming, god knows where you found cheats for that.

@Chanel - I'll look into that. That would be ideal to put what each cheat does under the icon so there's no confusion. I'm planning on updating the disc soon anyway. Also considering splitting the disc by regions too. So people can either download the complete collection or a version specific to NTSC/PAL or JPN

@jalneme - I get around As far as I can tell this is the most complete collection anywhere.

I don't know why but I put the files on the root of my USB and my ps3 does not see them.

what files? this is treated like a backup disc so it would be dropped in the \GAMES directory.
