      Finally Damn, lol

Edit: seems it might have the same problem/ bug that the 1st 4.30 CFWs had

Edit2: hopefully they are planning on a few update to their apps and all

Good news ... I'm glad I kept my Cobra & still on 3.55

      Questions

      1. Just want to be sure? But this release still keeps PSP/PS2 support right?

      2. How do I update to v6? Is it just plug in & update via the updater? & this will automatically jump it from 3.55 to 4.30

      3. If for some reason I'd want to drop back down to 3.55 what would be the safest & easiest way?

      Thanks

      * Please note that PS2 games on non backwards compatible machines is no longer supported, since this functionality was removed in 4.30 OFW. *

I haven't run into a bug as of yet. Seen very slow HDD performance when loading game from internal drive lots of framerate stuttering, but could have just been the game I chose. Trying GoW3 next to see if it performs the same.

Very good news... could someone test if the PSP game compatibility is improved or not? Cobra 3.55 didn't run newer PSP games... I'll update if the compatibility is better

Is the PS2/PSP/BDISO compatibility the only advantage of Cobra 4.30 over Rogero and Rebug?

Can anyone confirm that it does have sorting problems? I don't want to go through all the update process if it still has glitches. Thanks!

Not interesting. Since they are making a profit from our money. CFW is mean to be free. No thanks.

So you would rather have no option to play PS2/PSP backups?

I have tested the firmware so far this are the results:

I have uploaded from rogero 4.30 v 2.05 to CFW cobra usb via XMB. (SUCCES)

Tried PSN games (PS2, PS3PSN and others) ? NOT WORKING GETS A ERROR MESSAGE 80029517 even original ones that are not activated via reactpsn dont work.

      Tried games via MULTIMAN:
      - working like a charm (tried Dead or alive 5)
      - working psp games (psp launcher)

      - There is a problem with the GROUPING CONTENT on XMB, you have to do it
everytime you open a program etc.

      Conclusion:

DONT USE THIS FIRMWARE yet. If you want to play psp games, ps2 (if you have backbward compability) then USE IT but YOU WILL MISS PSN GAMES and PS2 games of PSN.

At the moment Rebug and Rogero are the best. Give Cobra team some time so that they can fix the bugs in this firmware.

I have tested the following two games of PSP on cobra CFW 4.30:

      - Corpse party
      - Corpse Party: Book of Shadows (game settings Mode 2)

      Working like charm

Well this is great. I have the cobra USB collecting dust for a long, long time now. Let see if this will help me with the only dongle I buy, to finally remove all the he dust he have and play with it again. But I think will the return of Hermes/Estwald this DRM and the Iris Manager updated this DRM will be useless in the future. The Iris Manager can run isos for PSX right now and soon will run isos for BD,PS3,etc.. Anyway I have the cobra so I have to use it.

Be awere of one thing if you go to CFW cobra!!!!!!!!!!

IF you open a PSN GAME WHO YOU HAVE BOUGHT ONLINE FROM PSN. AND IS NOT ACTIVATED BY REACTPSN WILL NOT WORK IF YOU GO BACK TO ANOTHER CFW LIKE ROGERO OR REBUG. YOU HAVE TO GO ONLINE AGAIN AT PSN STORE TO ACTIVATE THE GAME AGAIN.

      BE AWARE.

SO USE COBRA USB ONLY FOR PSP,PS2 OR OTHER PS3 GAMES BUT NOT PSN GAMES THAT ARE BOUGHT ORIGINALY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you have to use reactpsn again if you go back to rogero or rebug!!!

PSN activated reactpsn games have no problems

THIS PROBLEM HAPPEND TO ME WHEN GOING BACK TO ROGERO CFW 4.30 CFW 2.05!!!!!

PS2 backups no longer work on non-compatible PS2.
You need to have one of the first PS2 models to make this work.

In other terms, there is almost no difference between this and Rogero's CFW.

At the exception that you have to PAY for this, which, like mentioned earlier by another poster, should be FREE.

I'm quite aware of the PS2 limitations on different PS3s, but I'm betting most Cobra users are using them on CECHA or CECHB PS3s. Despite most PS3s not supporing full PS2 compatability, that does not take away the fact that the Cobra is the only way to play them via back up. It also alows some PSP games, Blu-ray ISOs and a handful of other features not found anywhere else. So there is quite a difference between Cobra and Rogero's CFW.

Additioally, why should this be free? Do you have a job? Do you work for free?

And you can play games in ISO from your LAN/networked PC or watch Blu-ray or DVD movies in ISO or play PSP in ISO... almost as other firmwares... but not really.
