I can't imagine what these "features" could be since every .pkg that I've run on Cobra works already; including Multiman (as long as you don't run Cobra's manager first the games will mount the same way), emulators, FTP, etc. Seems pointless since everything I can think of I already have with the official Cobra firmware.

Okay, not EVER, but for awhile atleast. There wil be downgrade methods before there is new CFW, that is for sure.

Plus, if you are asking why there is no CFW yet for 3.56+, you are not really ready for the next step, are you?

And, more than likely, you will need a next gen device when there is 3.56+ CFW.

Yes, i am. At best we'll find the public keys for 3.6, which would allow us to decrypt eboots and resign them for 3.55, but that does you no good if you are already past 3.55.

The most likely way we will get a 3.6+ cfw is if someone at sony leaks the keys, which is possible, but have fun waiting for that.

So basically, I could update to 3.66 right now and than downgrade to 3.55 without a problem but, these ****tards are 2 stoopid to even attempt it (owanef, because I know he won't even buy the chip because his mommy won't buy it for him) there for, we will constantly get IS THERE A NEW CFW OUT YET OMFG PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ when there are perfectly good methods available to update and downgrade. Oh wait, it doesn't brick your ps3 so it must be OK......so what if the ONLY feature promised doesn't work. Or wait, let us post it and let SOMEONE ELSE take that risk. Well tell you what: I tested it, It works without the dongle but NO cobra features. With the dongle inserted, black screen on boot. So, in the future, try to not post bogus news/software on what used to be a very well informed, trusted scene news site, especially without proper testing of said software.

It was news, whether it worked or not, some people have already tested it to no avail. Every other site has posted it as news so why not.

It may be something worth looking into, but definitely not worthy for front page news. It would be like saying that Obama was dead, and then posting it everywhere, without looking up if it was true or not. News usually means that it is factual, unless were talking about Fox News.

This article should be taken down or revised given the fact that after using this firmware, you can no longer use your dongle. You have to go back to OFW and then to Cobra CFW again. That is a bad thing in my opinion.

You can install and use multiMAN with the original cobra 3.55 FW+Dongle, but Hermes BDEMU does not work(no split files games work on external). But Cobra USB has a working workaround for these games on external USB, with no 4GB+ file caching to internal HDD(saves precious internal HDD space)
