Our news writers will be tagging our news stories with an article ranking for each. This ranking will specify the level of knowledge one would need to have to make efficient use of the information contained within. Below are our current ranks, along with a brief explanation of what kind of information may be contained in each:
Anything easy to understand from someone who just joined the scene and doesn't know what OFW and CFW even means. This is stuff like lawsuits, police raids, newbie guides, anything that doesn't contain PS3/Scene jargon.
Entry level articles that most average users can understand, and have a base understanding of the PS3 scene. This is stuff like application/homebrew/firmware releases, general articles, etc.
More indepth then the average user, and will understand some technical talk about the PS3. This includes posts like new downgrade/jailbreak methods, new tools for flashing/downgrading (think ProjSkeet), anything that would require an intellectual with competent understanding of the scene and also the PS3 in technical terms.
This is for the really hardcore stuff, designed for developers or those with high levels of understanding of just about everything. This includes tool releases, explanations of new exploits/downgrades(anything REALLY technical heavy) and anything that would only be thoroughly understood by experts of the PS3 and scene developers.
In articles marked with the Opinion tag you can read and respond to the PSX-Scene writers on their personal thoughts and opinions about a particular scene related topic. These are strictly the opinions submitted by the writers and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of PSX-Scene.
