Sony has recently experienced some backlash stemming from their lawsuit with George Hotz. The Playstation 3 manufacturer has been scouring the back alley's of the internet in an attempt to find an underground hacker for their R&D Department. They found a prospective candidate in Android OS hacker Koushik Dutta (aka Koush) and extended to him an offer for a job interview. However, the response they received from him was not what they were expecting.

Koush, who is most recently known for rooting the Android based Motorola XOOM, flat out declined Sony's request for an interview. He stated that due to Sony's recent treatment of fellow hacker geohot, he could not in good conscience work for them.

Sony's Email:
Hello Koushik,
I’d like to introduce myself, my name is Sarah McRae and I work onsite for Sony PlayStation in the Talent Acquisition department. We came across your blog and thought we’d reach out to you to see if you’d ever be interested in exploring opportunities with us here at SCEA. I am in the process of opening a
Software Engineer role within our R&D team and you may be a good fit. Please let me know if you’d be interested in talking on the phone to further discuss…
Koushik's Response:
Hi Sarah, I appreciate that you reached out to me. The opportunity does sound very interesting!
However, due [to] Sony’s recent treatment of a fellow hacker, George Hotz (@geohot), I could not in good conscience work at Sony.
Regards,
Koush
