DEV = payload with peek+poke used for development
NOUNAUTH = payload that behaves similar to Hermes and fixes controller issues (eyepet and F1)

It's nice enough to have if you let some "retard" (little brother, room mate etc.) use your PS3 and you wish to avoid that they see a "New firmware available" and chooses to update to 3.55.

I personally updated my payload to include this spoof, although it is only a minor change.

For me personally this has no use at all so I wont be updating to it on my Device.

At least (for a short time) the other one allowed PSN Access on a 3.41 PS3 reporting itself as being a 3.50. CMON CUSTOM FIRMWARE OR 3.50 EBOOT DECRYPTION KEYS!! I WANT TO PLAY GRAN TURISMO 5 ON MY PS3!!

I use Blackb0x and it works fine for me. Doesnt need a Disc in the Drive and Can FTP to it absolutely fine. Not sure where your going wrong.
