  • Portal 2 - First PS3 Game Encrypted With 3.60 Encryption Keys

    PS3Crunch is reporting that Portal 2 is the first unplayable title for CFW users. The game utilizes the new 3.60 encryption keys and without having the new keys, users will be unable to play this new title. This appears to be the start of what will be an unpopular trend with new titles. If a method to play Portal 2 is discovered we'll be certain to report it here.

    You are looking at different sets of method being tested such as the famous PARAM.SFO editing, EBOOT decrypting, it’s just useless without the 3.60 keys. To say that the upcoming L.A. Noire is on the same ride will be my heartbreaking May moment. So, i hope someone will find the solution for this or just roll on the 3.60 CFW already!

      THANK GAWD. I almost pissed myself there for a second. Thanks for pointing that out. Too bad I followed him, because apparently, I'm ******ed to do so. ._.

      So you are saying that if a cfw comes out it is due to piracy and not the fact that we all want to keep our homebrew and backup capabilities while still playing the latest games?

      Meanwhile, PC users all over the world will be enjoying their pirated copy just fine.

      Meanwhile PS3 users with TWO PS3s will be enjoying their original copy with PSN access just fine until a new 3.6 CFW is released.

      I doubt you'll see 3.60 CFW. Maybe down the line when there are more games that require new CFW. Worthwhile games, not inferior ports of PC titles. Maybe something like FF13-2. If I had the 3.60 keys I wouldn't release them until the last moment, so more games can be released in the meantime

      It's funny how a corporation like sony thinks it can police the internet worldwide. Who gives a **** about portal anyway, the only worthy recent ps3 title is Mortal Kombat.
