Naima’s Releases Custom Firmware v3.55/3.60 Hybrid - PSN Play Ready

Last month, we first reported on Naima's custom firmware, which helped allow users to get onto the PSN. Now, he's followed up his original release with a brand new take on custom firmware. Upon installing the CFW, users will be allowed onto the PSN, without the need of any tricks. New to this release is the addition of files from the 3.60 official firmware.

Update: Pre-patched version of Naima’s Custom Firmware v3.55/3.60 Hybrid now available for download. Just download and install onto PS3. Simple huh?

TUTORIAL
Requirements:
(Only need these if you are patching your own)
* Naima's Custom Firmware v3.55/v3.60 Patch (see download below)
* CFW Patcher v1.0.8r3 (download here)
* Official Firmware v3.55 (download here)

Quick Tutorial:
1) Download all 3 files (see requirements)
2) Run CFW Patcher v1.0.8r3 on your PC
3) In CFW Patcher v1.0.8r3, select Naima's patch file, official firmware v3.55, and the location of where you want to store the newly patched custom firmware v3.55
4) Install on your PS3

rough translation (logic-sunrise):
The big news is the addition of files from the official firmware 3.60. In addition, a file CA27.cer F*ckPSN modified to Charles and is already included. In the characteristics of this CFW, Naima has included the necessary but not least sufficient to ensure stability:

- Support for Peek / Poke Fluke
- Added "Install Package Files"
- Support Pkg signed or unsigned
- Replacement of certificate CA27.cer
- Maximum stability and cleanliness in all the changes.

Naima chose to replace the 27 certificate because it is obsolete. He further reported that the certificate 24 was used by some games. Replace the certificate 24 could therefore have undesirable side effects. In addition, you will notice that he has chosen to delete app_home/PS3_Game for security measures, saying that playing without disc is more risky for online play.

Coment install cfw:
- Beginnings official firmware is ideal,
- Check the integrity of the original PS3UPDAT.PUP, it should be:

MD5: CA595AD9F3AF8F1491D9C9B6921A8C61

SHA1: a3a0d1c61e17c6a58a5fa247a3dbb51524329e0a

- Check the integrity of the "PS3UPDAT.PUP custom", it should be:

MD5: 2C608AA99772E625BF708908AB6AF9DF

SHA1: c9db35a8d45c7d5286d581e87bb647ae4aa1e1b7

- Perform the installation from the Recovery Mode

On a personal note...anything that's come out within the past 3 weeks relating to firmware, logging onto PSN...I wouldn't trust. Too many bugs, zero testing, it's just thrown out there for people to try...and all that's said is "Use at your own risk...tough if it doesn't work or bricks your console."

ok this officially sucks ***...it runs homebrew, but thats about it...i tried like 4 games and NO PSN AT ALL! aaaaand i cant re-install 3.55...once again, i have been screwed

EDIT: ok its starting the switch from this crap to 3.55 kmeaw, it wasnt letting me before...but the main thing is, it IS now lol i think this post should be removed cause this crap dont work

I'm very skeptical about "includes 3.60 files".
Maybe something, that is easy to figure by watching traffic, I could imagine.

But to include actual 3.60 files, you need to decrypt 3.60, and for that you need a serious breakthrough on hacking front. WE DO NOT HAVE LV0/BOOTLDR KEYS!!!

Ok anybody who has this how true is is this statement: "Support Pkg signed or unsigned", if this is the case can this run the PS3x? (the unstable playstation emulator) I ask this because if that is the case could it be possible to implement this into other CFW?

Good to hear you're able to go back to 3.55 kmeaw...I had a feeling this "injecting" parts from packages wouldn't work. Maybe in the future when there is or if there is someone working on it and knows exactly what they're doing it will...but I'm calling fraud/hoax.

This came from what I like to call a fly-by-night person who's just using tools others created, doing and using theories that others are hoping/wanting and trying to make it a reality....

They say there's a sucker born every minute...but the PS3 scene is starting to crumble from the looks of it, because the wrong kind of tools were created and in the midst of it all, kids are picking them up and thinking they're developing something helpful!

Seriously, people, give me ONE ******g reason you are installing a firmware that its creator does not explain what has been modified and WHY.

3.60 files? WHAT THE ****! If he was able to implement 3.60 files to 3.55 he would release 3.60CFW instead.

If you, general mass of planet earth, are so dumb, i swear in everything i have, i'm gonna scam you hard one day and im going to be rich.

It is so damn easy to modify the firmware to provide me with your information including your credit card numbers. And i can give you that modified firmware and market it to you so damn well that you would like to hug me.

LMAO yup i just had 2 people with slims AND 2 people with fats try it...NONE of them could get online, they each tried like 3 or 4 games and NONE of them worked. this firmware is worth ****!!! it DOES however, allow installation of signed AND unsigned pkg files...the firmware says 3.60

all of the ps3's except for the slim 120 (dont ask me why) successfully reverted back to 3.55 kmeaw

all of them are doing ok now, nothing changed...almost as if i never did it...but the 120GB ps3 that WOULDNT revert, now that one is having problems...i ended up having to put the 3.60 OFW there and now that firmware is acting up...it only picks up the BD drive when it wants to, and every now and again it wont let him sign into PSN, it says the same thing to him as it did to me...

be warned guys...STAY AWAY!!!!

PSn was under work by sony. the cfw worked so yeah i wouldnt go around talkin smack.
