Use CA27...Put original CA24 back and use CA27 with ****psn 0.5
This method is the best. You can play every game online
I am using charles proxy method, because i am replacing my consoleID with blank. It does not connect every game

do I need to rename CERT27 like we had to with CERT24?

of course...But if you have original CA27, then you can just overwrite it.But to have a backup, rename it as CA27.cer.bak..

do I need to delete the original CA27? i do not get the DNS error now but now it asks for a system software update. I believe this is due to the original CA27 being there?

for some reason CA27 is 0 bytes. what the heck? but the one from the link i downloaded actually has a file size. and i cannot the one with 0 bytes. care to explain why?

it's normal..try to copy again. ftp client will ask retry or skip..Try retry..It should be fine...

great, the primary DNS and the secondary DNS I was using keeps failing....I have one more option though.


This is asking for a bit much. But I have a device that will let me screencap my screen live. Is it possible I could get help from you guys? if so here is a link. no..0 is not correct..try retry copying..

I actually solved my problem already. Thanks anyway.(the cert still says 0 but I can still get online is that ok/normal?) but now I cannot make game invites or join other peoples games why? I keep getting a server timed out error. I looked around and tried a method that involves putting the MAC adress of the ps3 into my router but still a no go.

go to http://gitorious.org/****psn/pages/Home , psgoove.com, and ps3hacks.com to get the apps and get:

-- use CA27.cer
-- dev_blind.pkg
-- Comgenie's Awesome FileManager v0.06
-- PSNinja to cover your *** from SONY
-- whatever BM you choose is up to your discression
-- ****Psn-v0.5
================================

1. Install dev_blind.pkg and Comgenie's Awesome FileManager v0.06
2. run dev_blind and
3. in Comgenie go to /dev_blind/data/cert
4. Rename CA27.cer to CA27.cer.bak
or do what i did and copy it to your usb stick (fat32).. you will need this in if you ever update
5. put his CA27.cer as /dev_blind/data/cert/CA27.ceraddress


6. On your laptop or desktop OS
windows xp/vista/windows 7
======================
run cmd.exe / in cmd type = ipconfig
.. IPv4 or IP -----------> Primary DNS
.. Default Gateway ----> Default Router

7. On your PS3
=============
set up manually your Network Settings

IP address --------> if router is 192.168.1.1 than use 192.168.1.200-252
if router is 192.168.0.1 than use 192.168.0.200-252
Subnet Mask ------> 255.255.255.0
Default Router ----> Default Gateway --> its your router IP address
Primary DNS ----> IPv4 or IP ---> its your PC IP address
Secondary DNS ---> 8.8.8.8 this is google dns and it works

8. save and reboot your ps3.. do not skip this step, as i made that error.
9. PSNinja --> run it to cover your *** from SONY.. i hope it does.. lol
10. Finally, on your PC run ****Psn-v0.5
11. done.. log into PSN

That is it.. I love this guy..

OK, took a while but this works:

IP address --------> if router is 192.168.1.1 than use 192.168.1.xxx
if router is 192.168.0.1 than use 192.168.0.xxx
xxx = i have read use 200 thru 252.. i used 252
Subnet Mask ------> 255.255.255.0
Default Router ----> Default Gateway --> its your router IP address
Primary DNS ----> IPv4 or IP ---> its your PC IP address
Secondary DNS ---> 8.8.8.8 this is google dns and it works flawless

remember to reboot the ps3 after you manually set it in the PS3 network manager.. when you reboot run the PS3, use PSNninja.pkg to hide your tracks from SONY.. .. Keep and eye on your OS and Router firewalls, as it can cause more lag.. I hate RED BAR connection in TEKKEN 6..

So how did u get it to work. Im having same problem. Keeps asking for update. Using my macbook with vmware fusion

go to command prompt on your computer

put in ipconfig/all (make sure you put a space FIRST then this phrase) scroll until yous see something called IPV4 or something like that. take that number and put it in the PS3 network settings in the primary and secondary DNS. Then it should work? if not PM me again.

also is f*uck psn keep closing for you? if you have that issue try restarting your pc and make sure you dont have any programs open at first when starting up

Thanks for the video. But I got that covered. Thing is my cert27 and 24 are both 0 bytes. does this matter? why does it? I can get online but only for black ops,MW2,the orange box, and bad company. No matter how many times I copy the CERTS are always 0 bytes. What should I do? could that be why most games I cannot connect online with?

Thanks a bunch. The problem was the DNS for my macbook was different from the windows partition (if you understand im using both to get on PSN). One was 198.168.1.X and the other was 198.168.1.XX. Cant believe i didnt realize that much sooner lol. I just thought that both would be the same until i actually checked them both. Now im able to sync trophies and then upgrade my HD

so I have the modified cert27 (removed the original and the modified one is in there) still cannot connect to almost every game except a few any ideas? sigh.
