See i've seen this on xbmc for the original xbox where these streams are compiled using plist filest and pythons..so much simpler and you can edit them on the fly...I have no idea how in the world folks not used to video/channel leeching would figure out the xml feeds it's more difficult than it sounds..getting a python file to add addresses to the stream source is so much simpler

for some reason they dont give you everything you need so here it is, the creator program if you want to edit your xil.xml manually you can do add whatever if not you can use the program itself... at the bottom it says Crear canalas manuales next to it is a box with the number 0, so if you want to add 1 site you change 0 to 1 then click Guardar on the box next to it...

the first box that comes up is the name of your link...
second box is the url of the link hit enter and it will give you the new xil.xml

Okay so now you need to install that package so that you get the TV icon on the ps3 you also get some chinease program install with it and it does not work for me...

So i would assume now that since before I have nothing in the folder / Dev_hdd0/tmp/explore/xil/tv/c/63431223453538546/xil.xml nor did I even have the folder in c I just had a db.xml and after installing this program I still do not have one.

So I do not know where to put my xil.xml to make it show up to the TV area so I am working on figuring that out now if anyone else does first post it so I can see how this thing works and if its actually worth it....

from what I understand this is just a link that will open up the built in browser and let you view the site like a shortcut? if so then i probably could care less and will not use this because most of the site that work with the built in browser ssucks and with playon the sites work much better actually site that dont work with the ps3 browser work using the playon probably because its actually downloading the stream with your computer and restreaming it to the ps3 as a video file over network but still

No such listed folder found, so I created one and uploaded the file and nothing..rebooted and everything..tried it again with no success.

I think it adds more icons under the "TV Channels" tab on the XMB.
You know the one that lets you stream internet 'tv' from certain channels per region.

If you dunno what that is, it's basically a link to a website that has videos you can watch, the pages are designed to fit the ps3 screen/browser well.

The app generates a new file that says what 'channels' you should have, adds extra.

Even with google translating the website and the comments on the original source of this its hard as hell to understand how they got this working..I've never seen a tv tab on my xmb and i'm on waninkoko's 3.55 some folks turned it into a pkg but for other more local regions to themselves france etc to get it to work. They found the right location of their xil.xml by downloading db.xml and looking searching for 'dir' which has the http: of where your xil.xml is on in your individual console. (Make sure you back that bad boy up some place secure!!!) and some of them simply replaced that xil.xml and got it to work. Me on the other hand i've practically tried everything short of their pkg file.

even after installing the package before or after I could not find the xml to replace and all of my db.xml files have nothing of use in them. I have looked thorugh every file there is to find where to put this, i have made my own files and folders and it does not work it doesnt give me any additions to my TV icon i only have the qook icon and it gives me errors when it runs i did some research on qook and its not going ot work because its a korean thing and you have to have allot of special things filled out fiilled out that you have to be korean to have so we cant use that.

but I have not and still dont have anywhere to put my xil.xml so idk but im probably not going ot worry with this becuase unless the site specifically is setup to run on ps3 or is compatable it wont work anyway it uses the ps3 browser to play the links so you are limited to whatever the ps3 can play which isnt much its a pretty shitty web browser you would think as much money as the ps3 costs i should havent to use a prrogram on my computer to be able to watch media i dont want to have to have a computer connected all the time just to watch stuff.....

cant wait till linux is working better so i can have a video system/ps3 and can turn my laptop off more

Here you go i modified this myself its all translated except the last pop up but that just says put it on your ps3 its self explanatory for some reason i couldn't find any reference to the last bit of text, oh well enjoy.
