You can still enable on media server and network connections, i do it all the time to update my games. Go to network settings and enable both. Dont worry it wont tell you to update to 3.56.

The file size for this version is awfully small compare to the usual 5-7MB. Is this real/safe?

That's absolutely true! Filezilla works flawless on my pc, even on my PowerBook! It stopped working though on my iMac.

Anyway, this is another great update.

The most important thing is that this guy loves very much his creation and keeps getting it better and better each day.

2. under my sites create one that says PS3
3. put in your PS3's IP address while leaving log in stuff alone
4. enter port 21
5. transfer settings "Active"
6. now connect
7. but make sure you enable internet and media connection on your console under network settings. Dont worry the PS3 wont tell u to update or anything, just dont try to "sign in"
8. ENJOY!!!!!!!!

Kudos for Dean, best Backup Manager out there.

Also note about the FTP, BlackBox FTP seams to be better then MM, at least for me, i get 12.5 mbps in BB against 5-7 MBPS in multiMan.
Now since i have all my games Backed Up in my PC for safety reasons and a 2TB External HD connected to my ps3, i usually transfer my games via FTP directly to the external HD to avoid having to move the External HD and its power source every time, and quite frankly its not as good as USB transfer but its pretty fast to.
Only thing id like is if FTP transfer could be done in the backgroud while playing games =(.

I can't believe the speed you get with BB. Mines 1.2Mbps. Can I know what your hardware/software setup is?

It works for any one who asked me for help on many forums, so i dont know whats wrong with your setup..... Try enabling the FTP inside the options.ini file within multiman.

I'm using Kneaw CFW 3.55 and bb v1.2, and using CuteFTP 8, nothing extraordinary, maybe your getting low speeds because of your router?

i am hoping u are using lan cable not wirelless ! was wondering my self when i was using wirellessly the ftp.
