Im not going to deny I have a few illegal copies, but it is only a couple, and tbh I would not have bought the games, so no ones loss.

My sole reason for CFW is to backup my owned games. After all whats the point of having an amazing system that you can turn on and off by the controller, but have to get up to change the rudy game!

I have roughly 16 purchased games, of which I have finished none, and I have no intention of playing illegal copies while I have purchased games I havent completed. And yes I will still purchase games. But when they force 3.56 FW I will no longer be able to slouch on my sofa and switch between my games, not on!

I dont want to slate Sony, as tbh they have produced the worlds best console to date, it really is a truly amazing piece of tech. If they want to get on the side of people like me that just want to back up their games, then sony should implement it in a FW! Im sure they could find some way of locking the games once on the machine. This would provide the full remote operation of the PS3 that so many people would like.

Sorry, didnt see your comment there peeer. True I did overlook the continuing implementation of features that new FW provides. But yeah, pain in the a**!

Sony has lost for a while ago.

The PS3 use the same process to access the PSN as the PSP I think.

For the PS3 the process is bypassed with the Plugin PSNLover.

When the Coder from PSNLover would make one for the PS3 he also could make it.

@feylito285 you're a total noob to any kind of scenes. Go back to your own posts, there is nothing helpful but just bitches and rages. Hacking a game console has always been a cat and mouse game. Company will come out with a new way to block you from playing their games and you waited patiently for hackers to release new patch to play them again and cycles goes on.

Dont get your hopes up. The new OFW's will be harder and harder to crack, and as long as the PS3 can run code on 3.55, 95% of devs will see no necessity of releasing cfw's for 3.56.

If that were to happen, though, it would probably not take long before Sony would start banning people for using CFW anyways.

Online on a CFW PS3 is long gone imho.

Fair enough Sony own PSN and so it is their right to refuse access if you dont meet their requirements, ie. OFW. BUT... They should not force PS3 owners to have their(Sony's) FW on OUR PS3's(now our hardware after purchase) by enforcing this in newly released software, ie. GT5 REQUIRED 3.55+.

When will we start seeing 3.56 required...?

THIS begs a good question what are we going to do when all the newer games require 3.56 or even worse like the games themselves having root kits in them.....if we dont have an answer now we wont haave one later thats why all the game devs pushed their releases back so you are required to update to 3.56 i can forsee this now psgroove front page news. If there is such a trick in play i want to be the first to know.

I think our beloved reverse engineer devs are hard at work making a new CFW for the 3.56fw. Just wait patiently until the new fix. At this time, you just have to play offline until a new hack is release or if you wants online so much you have to go back to OFW.

Went online yesterday to update MultiMan to the newest version.

Realized at about 3:30 this morning that I hadn't turned off access when the error occurred.

Thought I had it set up to not sign into PSN, but I guess I was wrong.
Not a big deal to me really because I don't do online gaming.

Sucks for those that do.
Maybe somebody will show up with a work around soon.
