just use kmeaws cfw m8 i tried geohots before this it didnt work kmeaws worked first time

i did... problems i had were exactly on kmeaws cfw... first i thought that problems were because of lv2 patch, but others had no freezes and crashes at all. thats why i reinstalled CF using RM and for now it looks like this helped... dunno for how long but installing CF by RM solved all my problems with freezes during the game...

a pkg is not a FW Update File! @Cagutinho!
Just install it like a normal *pkg file an start ... thats it !

I'm sort of confused....I have been following the scene since day one, and keeping up..so naturally, I am on Kmeaw, I have my games in GAMEZ (because I've been in it since the beginning), and in my XMB, I have the first LV2.pkg, multiMAN, also the new updated Gaia, games that aren't supported are in hdd_0/games/BL*S**** and they have a pkg....and honestly, im stocked with half a TB...I haven't updated to the new LV2 patcher shown above, and I have never* used 'Fix Permissions,' and here's the kicker: I've never had a single problem..no freezes, no black screens..all is glorious and flawlessly working....my question: what are the DIFFERENCES in people's setups?/what are people doing wrong? Honestly, the PS3 has been the EASIEST (from the end-user's perspective) console to mod, out of the PS2, Wii, PSP, 360....and damn near everything else..like, really, guys...it's cake. Especially now, flash CFW and WH-BAM! ..Even when the original dongle came out, it worked so easily, it was like a joke....

*If I have had no issues, as stated above, should I update my LV2 patcher?
**More importantly, should I use 'Fix Permissions'? (And if I do, what'll it actually DO? (By 'DO' I mean, what'll it physically do to my hdd/under the hood, and also, what'll it do for playability?))

with latest Gaia Manager 2.02, no problem..Everything works fine for me...

Hey guys. i have an old cecha ps3. I went from OFW 3.55 > Geohotz 3.55 > OFW 3.55 in order to install Kmeaw CFW 3.55... i can run pkg's no problem, but when i try to enter /app_home/PS3_GAME/ i get this error 80028F14. Does anyone know why!?

dont worry about it m8 u can use a file manager to access the game files i suggest you use multiman as your backup manager file stord in hdd0 games

Im not having so many problemas with Kmeaw... the only problems that I had is that I couldnt use FTP by LAN (offline), and I presenciated some freezings. The freezing problems after I installed the fixPermissions looks like that not happens so often anymore, anyway I presenced it one more time after that, I dont know if it was for some other reason but it worries me a bit, because when it happens I have to turn the PS3 off the energy.

I am actually with the Multiman including the LV2 patch, working fine here... but I wanted real solution to the freezing problems that happens while navigating in XMB or inside some pkg, inside games I am not having those issues until now.

you could try using the gaia manager m8 no need to use lv2 patch i myself dont get any freezing issues after using the file permission fix

ON a side bar, most of games are running fine, except the one where I had to mod the EBOOT to run on 3.41 (now I am on 3.55 used this guide : http://www.ps3-hacks.com/2011/01/18/...kpoke-patches/ ) to the point could some upload the original Eboot for Grand Turismo 5 thanks in advance

Yeaaah.... Ill have to comeback to the old multiman and the LV2 Patch.pkg
Until I downloaded the new multiman I got 3 freezing problems (all of them inside the multiman), before it, with fixPermissions I got no problems... sad !
I tried using fixPermissions.pkg and the patch inside multiman but i got no success, its just freezing a lot here...

Coming back to multiman1.12.05 BASE like I had before. And I hope that with it, I got no freezings again...

As you run them all? With disc or just the manager? I have no disk, and all these games, get black screen or back to the XMB.s3up:s3up:s3up:

when you load a game they answer you to quit to the xmp you must anwer no, then you can start the home/PS3_Game

Ah and a question... the LV2 Patcher I had before, I needed to load everytime I wanted to enter in multiman. With this one, I have to do it just one time, and never more ? When I turn my system off and on again, Ill have to load it again ?

Needed to run like before. Everytime that I turn the system on... but no problem if I do not get freezing problems.

The best way in my opinion to run a backup manager for all of you asking, is to have a disk in the drive. Choose the game from your respected backup launcher. Most games DO NOT support live launch from the loader. YOU WILL BE RETURNED TO XMB. Once you are there look at your disk, it will be the game you loaded. Click it and happy gaming!

Ok im having a problem maybe someone can help me with... Everything is working fine but when ever i backup any games that have the trophys its says the following!! "Registration of the trophy information could not be completed the game will quit now (8002291B). Any ideas on how to fix this problem!!
